After downloading and installing on your computer, launch the VMware program by double-clicking the desktop icon and follow these steps:

Step 6: At this stage, you can adjust the hardware configuration for the virtual machine in Customize Hardware. If you want to keep the default settings, click Finish.

Step 7: After this step, click Power on this Virtual Machine to proceed with the Windows installation. In this case, we are installing Windows 7.

Finally, you will have a perfectly running virtual machine with Windows 7, no different from regular usage.
