A confirmation prompt appears Do you want to log out instead of deactivating your account? Select Close.
You'll see an additional section Automatically reactivate my account after 7 days, where you can choose the number of days to deactivate here, which can be fewer than 7 days.
If you wish to stop receiving emails, check the box next to Don't receive emails from Facebook in the future. And if you want to deactivate Facebook but still use Messenger, you can check the box next to Continue using Messenger. If you want to deactivate both Facebook and Messenger, then leave this part unchecked. Once you've set it up, select Deactivate.
Step 5: A confirmation prompt appears Are you sure you want to deactivate your account? Select Deactivate now.
Note: During the process of temporarily deactivating your Facebook account, if Facebook requests a password, please enter the password as requested.

Step 1: Firstly, log in to your Facebook account on a web browser, then access the link https://www.facebook.com/help/delete_account
Step 2: The Delete Account page appears, select Delete Account.
Step 3: A confirmation dialog box appears, enter your password to confirm, then select Continue.
Step 4: In the Confirm Permanent Account Deletion notification, select Delete Account.
So you have 14 days to reactivate your account and cancel permanent deletion. If you wish to permanently delete your Facebook account, you must not log in to the account within 14 days from the date of the permanent deletion request.
