Guide to the route to Suoi Da Ban in Phu Quoc
The reason this stream is called Suoi Da Ban is because it has many large, flat rocks resembling tabletops, formed by the strong erosion process of the stream flowing from the mountains. It is precisely because of this that Suoi Da Ban is cool, picturesque, and also associated with mysterious and intriguing tales, as legend has it that it is where celestial nymphs bathe each time they descend to earth.

Suoi Da Ban is located in Cua Duong commune, near Duong Dong Lake, about 8 km northeast of Duong Dong town on Phu Quoc Island. From Duong Dong town, follow Nguyen Trung Truc street for about 3 km, then turn right onto a trail for another 4 km. Upon arrival, park your vehicle and cross the hanging bridge, then take a leisurely 15-minute walk to reach the stream.

Suoi Da Ban originates from the Ham Ninh mountain range, which is the longest and highest range in the area. The watercourse in the Ham Ninh area is also the main source of water for Duong Dong Lake in Phu Quoc – the largest freshwater lake on the island, with a circumference of over 3.5 km, a depth of 20 meters, and a water volume of about 5.5 million m³.

The best time to visit Suoi Da Ban is from April to November, during Phu Quoc's rainy season when the stream flows abundantly, offering refreshing bathing experiences. Along Suoi Da Ban, heading upstream about 200 meters reveals even more stunning sections. Take caution to walk barefoot in the stream to avoid slippery moss. When encountering the cool water, refrain from immediately jumping in for a swim; instead, warm up gradually as the water flowing from the forest can be quite chilly.

Traveling to Suoi Da Ban may take half a day to explore its entire length. The higher you trek upstream, the more beautiful and secluded the stream becomes. Remember to pack some light snacks and bottled water, as there are no eateries inside the stream area. Alternatively, you can pre-order meals from the eatery located at the entrance.
