Before Unrooting Galaxy S9/S9+
- This article is only applicable to Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus devices. It does not apply to other models.
- Back up all contacts, SMS messages, call logs, and multimedia data. The unrooting process will wipe all internal storage data clean, so to avoid data loss, you should back them up.
- Ensure the battery is at least 50% charged to ensure the device remains operational during unrooting.
- Disable Samsung Kies or Samsung Smart Switch if installed.
- Disable Windows Firewall or any other antivirus programs if installed.
- Connect the mobile device to the computer via a data cable.
- Enable OEM Unlocking and USB Debugging mode on the device.

Download and Install
1. Download and install
2. Download Odin and extract the file.
3. Download the latest firmware for Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus Here. Extract the firmware to obtain AP, BL, CP, and Home_CSC files.
Unroot Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus
1. Open Odin3.exe file on your computer.
2. Now, in Odin, click on the AP tab and select the AP file. Similarly, click on the BL tab to select the BL file, click the CP tab to select the CP file, and click on the CSC tab to select the Home_CSC file.
3. Enable Download mode on your Galaxy S9 or S9 Plus. Firstly, power off your phone. Now, press and hold the Volume Down + Power + Bixby buttons to boot the device. When the mobile displays a notification, press the Volume Up button to proceed.
4. Connect the S9 to your computer.
5. The ID:COM box in Odin turns blue, confirming a successful connection with the phone.
6. Click on the Options tab in Odin, ensure only select the F.Reset.Time and Auto Reboot options. Do not select any other options.
7. Now, the steps to unroot the device are complete. Click the Start button to restore the device to its original settings.
8. The unrooting process typically takes a few minutes. Once completed, your mobile will restart.
9. After the device restarts, you can disconnect it and check its operational status. Now, the device has transitioned to the official version provided by the manufacturer.
