ChatGPT, the social media sensation, is an AI chatbot that allows you to do various interesting tasks, from blogging and coding to content creation. Unfortunately, it is exclusively supported through the OpenAI website and lacks a dedicated mobile app. In this article, Mytour will guide you on how to use ChatGPT on both Android and iOS phones.

Is there a ChatGPT app for phones?
Regrettably, there is no official ChatGPT app for mobile devices yet. The best way to use this chatbot is by accessing it through a web browser (Safari, Chrome, Opera, etc.). Additionally, you can also use ChatGPT through the Microsoft Start app, which integrates the latest Bing AI (based on GPT-4).
Right below, Mytour will guide you through both methods of using ChatGPT on both Android and iOS phones.
Method 1: Using ChatGPT via a Web Browser
Before you begin, there are some requirements you need to meet to use this chatbot on your phone:
- OpenAI Account: You need an OpenAI account to start using ChatGPT and other tools from the company. Refer to this article to learn how to register for a ChatGPT account in Vietnam.
- Web Browser: Essentially, you need a web browser to use ChatGPT, which can be Chrome on Android and Safari on iOS. Additionally, you can use any other browser of your choice.
When everything is set up, initiate ChatGPT on your mobile. This guide is demonstrated on an iPhone, but the steps are quite similar for Android.
Step 1: Open your favorite web browser and go to chat.openai.com.
If you encounter the Verify you are human prompt, check the corresponding box.

Step 2: On the next screen, click Login and log in to your OpenAI account.

Step 3: When asked whether to save the password, opt for Save password for convenient use of ChatGPT later.

Step 4: After logging in, click Next on the ChatGPT introduction prompts, then hit Done.

Step 5: This is the main interface of ChatGPT. Simply type messages in the Send a message… box to start chatting with AI.

Step 6: Now, if you want to add ChatGPT to the home screen, press the Share button on Safari (iPhone) or the Three dots on Chrome (Android). Choose Add to Home Screen.

Step 7: Name the icon as ChatGPT >> Add.

Option 2: Use ChatGPT with Microsoft Start
In addition to the method above, you can also utilize ChatGPT through the Microsoft Start app. This app comes integrated with the Bing AI search tool (built on GPT-4), allowing you to engage in natural conversations with AI.
Step 1: Click the link below to download the Microsoft Start app.

Step 2: On the first app launch, press Continue >> you can choose to allow or deny the app access to your location.

Step 3: In the personalized data source step, select the topics you're interested in or Skip if you don't want to choose.

Step 4: When you see the notification screen 'You're one step closer to the new Bing', click Sign in and join, then log in with your Microsoft account.
If you don't have a Microsoft account yet, create one here.

Step 5: On the main interface of the Start app, tap the Bing button in the middle at the bottom of the screen.

The next screen is the chat interface with Bing AI. You can choose conversation styles like Creative, Balanced, or Precise for the chatbot's responses.
