Step 1: First, you need to input the text you want to read into CoolSpeech. There are 2 ways to input text into CoolSpeech.

First method: Input directly into the Untitled section.

You can save the text you've input by clicking the

Save icon on the toolbar or using the shortcut Ctrl+S then selecting the folder to save your text.

Second method: Click the Open icon or use the shortcut Ctrl+O.

Select your text file and then click Open. Note that CoolSpeech only supports txt and html formats, so you may need to convert your text if it's not supported.

Step 2: CoolSpeech has two reading modes: Play mode and Highlight Play mode.

In Play mode, press the Play button on the toolbar or F5 key, and CoolSpeech will read your entire text.

During reading, the following function buttons will assist you:

- Pause (F6) - Pause at the current position; press Play to resume reading from there.
- Rewind (Ctrl+left arrow) - Go back to the previous sentence.
- Fast Forward (Ctrl+right arrow) - Advance to the next sentence.
- Stop (F7) - Stop reading; if you press Play again, the software will start reading from the beginning.

In Highlight Play mode, press the Highlight Play button on the toolbar or Ctrl+H.

A new window containing your text will appear. Here, as the software reads each word, it will automatically highlight that word.

Highlight Play mode is very suitable for those who are just starting to practice listening to English as they can easily follow along and catch the reading pace. Additionally, there's a way to adjust the reading speed in CoolSpeech to help you find a more suitable pace within the software.
