Using Photo Story 3 for Windows enables you to effortlessly create videos from photos. You can add sound to slides or even narrate each photo using a computer microphone or headphones. Using Photo Story 3 for Windows
Step 1: After successfully installing Photo Story 3 for Windows, launch the software. If it's your first time creating a story, select Begin a new story -> then click Next
Step 2: Click on Import Pictures... as shown in the image below.
The File Browser interface will appear -> browse and select the images you want to add for creating slides and click OK to add the selected images to the software
Step 3: You'll see the added photos here. You can change the order of the photos by dragging and holding them left or right. Alternatively, use the arrow buttons to rearrange the photo sequence.
- The X button is used to delete photos that you've added but don't want to use.
- If you want to remove black borders from slides, click on Remove black border...
Finally, click on Next to proceed.
Step 4: If you leave black borders -> the software will prompt you whether to continue without removing them. Assuming you choose to keep the black borders, press Yes to proceed as shown below:
Step 5: The Add a title to your pictures interface appears, here you can freely add text to each image:
- Click on AA to adjust the font size, font type, text color... while the buttons beside help you adjust the position of the text you add.
- You can also change the effects for the images such as: Black and White, Colored Pencil...
After you're satisfied -> click on Next to continue
Step 6: At this stage, you'll perform narration recording for each image if desired.
Where:
- Number 1 - Record Narration: Start recording
- Number 2 - Stop Recording : Use to stop recording
- Number 3 - Delete Narration: Delete the recorded narration
- Number 4 - Configure Microphone: Set up microphone, volume for recording
- Number 5 - Notes: Add notes for the recorded narration
- Number 6 - Preview: Use for previewing the recorded narration
Then, click on Next to proceed.
Step 7: Furthermore, in the above step -> you can also click on Customize Motion... to perform further adjustments. You'll find 2 options: Motion and Duration and Transition.
- Motion and Duration section: Allows you to set the time for image display. The default mode is 5 seconds, but you can change this time by ticking the Number of seconds to display the picture box -> then, enter the time (in seconds) there.
- Transition section: Helps you set how images appear. You'll see a variety of ways for your images to appear. You can also set the default time for all images to start appearing or you can customize the time by clicking on Number of seconds to display the transition -> and also selecting the time (in seconds).
Finally, click on Save to save the settings you've just made.
Step 8: The next interface appears, here you can add music to this Photo Slide. You can choose existing music by clicking on Select Music or create your own music by clicking on Create Music.
If you want to preview first -> click on Preview. Then, proceed with Next to move on to the next step.
Step 9: The Save your story interface appears, this is the final step. Here, you only need to save the steps you've just taken to record them into a file.
- Activities section: Allows you to choose options such as saving the video slide file to your computer (Save your story for playback on your computer) or sending it to friends via email (send the story in an email message)...
- File Name section: Lets you name and select a location to save your photo slide
- Quality Settings: This section allows you to customize the quality for the video slide
Once you've made your selections, click Next to begin Building Your Story.
Step 10: Once the process of saving the video slide is complete, you'll see an interface like the one below. It's advisable to choose Save Project... to save the entire process for future editing if needed. Finally, click on Exit to finish the entire process of creating a photo slide on Photo Story 3.
