Guide to VssID Registration, Electronic Social Insurance

VssID is a Social Insurance application that greatly assists in transactions regarding Social Insurance, Health Insurance, and Unemployment Insurance today. However, to use this application, you must create a suitable VssID account. The registration process varies depending on each group.

Simple and Easy VssID Account Registration

Things to prepare when registering for a VssID account:
- Download and install the VssID application on your phone.

Step 3: The account registration page will appear. Enter the required information: Social Insurance Code, Full Name, ID/Passport Number... (If you don't remember the Social Insurance Code, click on the search icon next to it and follow the instructions, the code will be displayed). Once entered, at the bottom right corner, click 'Continue'.

Note: It's necessary to provide the owner's main phone number as the insurance company will send all information such as passwords, OTP codes to this phone number.

Step 4: Click on each photo frame to capture/select photos as required: Personal photo, Front of ID/Passport, Back of ID/Passport. Ensure the personal photo is clear. If the image is blurry, you won't be able to proceed to the next step. Once done, click 'Continue'.

Step 5: Tap on 'Select Social Insurance Agency'. A list of social insurance agencies will appear, click on the unit near your residence or workplace for convenience in commuting, then click 'Select'.

Step 6: Click on the 'Send declaration via email' box and enter your email address.

Step 7: At the bottom right corner, click 'Send'. At this point, you will receive a notification along with a message from the social insurance containing similar content to the above notification.

Although the Social Insurance Administration notifies the registration agency to complete the procedures, you don't need to go directly. Within 2 - 10 days, the agency will automatically approve your application. If the application is invalid, the system will send a notification message to you. Therefore, you need to re-register from the beginning.

II. Registering for VssID for individuals under 18 without ID/CCCD

If you want to register VssID for a child under 18 without ID/CCCD, follow these instructions.

Step 1: Open VssID on your phone. If you don't have an account, register for the VssID app as in Part I above. If you already have one, enter your username, password and click 'Login'. Details on VssID login and app usage.

Step 2: Click 'Register an account for your child'. The system will switch to Registering an account for your child, enter the Social Insurance Code and Full Name of your child. If you don't remember your/your child's code, click the search button next to the Social Insurance Code field and enter the required information, the insurance number will be displayed for you.

Step 3: After entering, click on the 'Continue' box. Now, you will take a photo or choose a personal photo of your child and the birth certificate photo that you have prepared to upload as requested by the system.

Step 4: Click on the 'Continue' box after uploading the photo. At the bottom right corner, press 'Send'.

Step 5: The system sends a Commitment notification, you click 'Agree'. At this point, the system continues to send the OTP code via text message, you open it and enter the OTP code into the 'Please enter OTP' box.

Step 6: Click on 'Confirm'. Then, the system sends a notification to the Social Insurance Administration acknowledging your declaration. At this point, you only need to wait for the Social Insurance Administration to send the VssID login password for your child to your email account.
