The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has recently issued guidelines for conducting a pilot program for welcoming international tourists in phase 2 until March 14. Expanding the scope of welcoming international tourists, before fully reopening on March 15.
Guidelines for conducting a pilot program for welcoming international tourists from now until full reopening

During this phase, tourists will participate in the pilot program for welcoming international tourists, and the welcoming process will be through chartered or international commercial flights accompanied by some mandatory regulations.
Target Audience:
- Foreign visitors
- Vietnamese residing abroad
- Vietnamese citizens
Requirements:
- Proof of full vaccination against Covid-19 or a 'Covid-19 recovery confirmation' within 6 months. Children under 18, elderly over 65, or those unable to receive vaccines can travel with parents, legal guardians, caregivers who have been fully vaccinated or have recovered from the disease.
- Negative PCR test for Covid-19 within 72 hours (except children under 2 years old).
- Minimum medical insurance coverage of $20,000 specifically for Covid-19 treatment.
- For tourists who have been fully vaccinated or recovered from COVID-19, participation in the travel program of travel companies for at least 03 days, with tourists (accompanied by parents, legal guardians) not vaccinated or not fully vaccinated is 7 days from the date of entry.
- Passengers must self-monitor their health for 3-7 days, if positive, they must report to the travel company and medical staff.
- PCR test on the 3rd day (for tourists not vaccinated or not fully vaccinated, additional testing on the 7th day) from the date of entry. In case of a positive test result, follow the regulations of the Ministry of Health. If the result is negative, passengers can continue to participate in the registered travel program.
- Passengers can depart the country on regular international commercial flights or chartered flights permitted.
- For tourists participating in programs under 07 days, after completing the program, tourists return to the country on regular international commercial flights or chartered flights permitted according to the guidelines and procedures announced by the respective country.
Vietnam will resume normal border operations from 15/3. Travelers can check the opening situation of some countries around the world to arrange suitable itineraries:
