Currently, many Vietnamese citizens returning to the country and foreign visitors entering Vietnam have been vaccinated against Covid-19, but still do not know how to register for the Covid-19 green card. This article will help you answer this question.
Guidelines for Registering Covid-19 Green Card for Entrants to Vietnam

The Ministry of Health has issued a document on COVID-19 prevention for incoming individuals. Starting from 1/1/2022, individuals with full vaccine doses or recovered from COVID-19, with negative PCR test results, will self-isolate at home for 3 days…
In a letter to various agencies, parallel bodies, and provincial People's Committees on COVID-19 prevention for incoming individuals, the Ministry of Health states that Vietnam's COVID-19 vaccination rate is currently high (96.4% for individuals aged 18 and above with one dose and 76.5% with two doses).
According to general epidemic prevention requirements, the Ministry of Health's document specifies that incoming individuals must have negative SARS-CoV-2 test results within 72 hours before entry, except for children under 2 years old. They should also complete health declarations before entry.
Upon entering Vietnam, it is essential to install and use the health declaration app (PC-COVID) for reporting health conditions and monitoring health as per Vietnam's regulations (recommended for diplomatic and official entries).
For individuals entering as Vietnamese citizens, Vietnamese residents abroad, and their relatives (including spouses and children) who have not been vaccinated or have not received sufficient doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, vaccination will be administered (free of charge) during the quarantine period (if needed).

Cover the expenses for testing, medical isolation, examination, treatment, and other related costs (if any) in accordance with Resolution No. 16/NQ-CP dated 08/2/2021 of the Government on medical isolation, examination, treatment costs, and some specific regimes in COVID-19 prevention and control.
For individuals who have completed the vaccine doses or recovered from COVID-19, during home isolation, there should be no contact with others and no leaving the residence.
The Ministry of Health advises self-monitoring of health for the first 3 days from the entry date at the place of residence (including houses, hotels, guesthouses, resorts, representative office premises, dormitories, guesthouses of production and business establishments, etc.). Avoid contact with others and refrain from leaving the residence.
Conduct SARS-CoV-2 testing using the RT-PCR method on the 1st and 3rd days from the entry date. If the test results are negative for SARS-CoV-2, continue monitoring health for the remaining 14 days from the entry date.
In case of positive test results, follow the stipulated procedures.
As of now, Vietnam has authorized the use of 8 COVID-19 vaccines. The approved vaccines include: AstraZeneca, Gam-COVID-Vac (also known as SPUTNIK V), Vero Cell, Comirnaty by Pfizer/BioNTech, Spikevax Vaccine (also known as Moderna), Janssen vaccine, Hayat-Vax vaccine, and Abdala vaccine.
