The first thing to do is to place the washer on a flat, sturdy, spacious, and dry surface to avoid electrical leaks that can be dangerous for users. Avoid placing the washer in uneven or rough areas as it may cause noise during operation.
Choosing the Appropriate Washing Temperature
A washing temperature of around 40 degrees Celsius is most suitable for regular clothes, sufficient for detergent to penetrate the clothes and remove stains. At excessively high temperatures, clothes may shrink, wrinkle, and lose their original elasticity, damaging their shape.
Regular Maintenance of Steam Washers
After the washing or drying cycle completes, make sure to leave the washing machine door open to allow excess moisture to escape. This prevents water from accumulating inside the machine, which can lead to unpleasant odors. Additionally, regularly wipe away detergent residue clinging to the machine walls to prevent lingering odors and dampness that might affect subsequent loads. Also, remember to inspect the drainage hose regularly. Over time, it may become clogged, impeding proper water flow into the machine.
