While YouTube often suggests videos related to your viewing preferences, these recommendations aren't always accurate. To save time, we can block channels and videos that are not suitable for us.

I. How to block channels and videos on YouTube (desktop)
On the YouTube desktop platform, we have the support of various tools and software, making it simple to block videos and channels.
1. Blocking channels on YouTube (desktop)
If you find the need to block certain YouTube channels to avoid suggested videos or similar content related to those channels appearing on your main screen, follow these steps:
Step 1: Access YouTube and select the Sign In option to log into your Google account on your computer.

Step 2: Then, log in to YouTube using your Google account.

Step 3: Lastly, access the YouTube channel you want to block and sequentially choose About (1) -> Report (2) -> Block user (3).

2. Blocking Videos on YouTube (desktop)
If you need to block videos based on keywords, channels, or specific videos, you'll require the assistance of third-party tools. In this article, we'll use the Video Blocker add-on, compatible with browsers like Google Chrome, Coc Coc, Edge, and more.

Step 1: Go to the Video Blocker homepage and select Add to Chrome to initiate the installation.

Step 2: After installing the Video Blocker tool, you can access YouTube to block videos on this platform.
To block a specific video, right-click on the video and choose Block videos from this channel.

Step 3: To block an entire channel or videos related to a specific keyword, block by Keyword.
Choose the Video Blocker icon (1) on the toolbar and enter keywords related to the videos you want to block in the dialog box (2). Finally, press Add (3) to add them to the block list on Video Blocker.

Step 4: After blocking, videos and channels related to those keywords will no longer appear on YouTube.

II. Blocking Channels and Videos on YouTube Mobile
The YouTube video platform on mobile has some specific differences, so the procedures are relatively different as well.
1. Blocking channels on YouTube Mobile
To block a channel on YouTube Mobile, you'll need to perform similar steps as on the desktop platform.
Step 1: Access the Channel, YouTube (1) you want to block on your mobile.
Step 2: Then, tap on the Options icon (2) to open the menu and select Block user (3).

2. Blocking Videos on YouTube Mobile
To block YouTube videos on mobile, we have only one option – using YouTube Kids designed for children. This is a separate platform developed by YouTube to filter content suitable for kids.
Step 1: Access the provided links to download Youtube Kids to your mobile.

Step 2: Next, open the Youtube Kids app for installation. On the main interface, select the I'm a parent option for maximum control.

Step 3: To block videos on Youtube Kids, you can choose the “Three dots” icon.
If the desired videos are not available on the screen, you can enter them into the search bar similar to regular Youtube.

Step 4: In the Options section, select Block this video for automatic handling.

Step 5: Next, you'll need to answer random questions to confirm the changes on Youtube Kids.
