Stone Transformation Well, UK: If you place any object in the natural well at Mother Shipton’s Cave and wait for a while, the object will have its surface transformed into stone. This phenomenon is nothing mystical. The water in this well has unusually evaporating minerals that coat the surface of any objects placed inside. Photo: Steph-nine, Jon Farman.

Karni Mata Temple, India: The next peculiar destination is the home to over 20,000 sacred mice. These mice, called 'kabbas,' are revered by the locals. Avanos Hair Museum, Turkey: This museum opened in 1979 when a local potter named Chez Galip parted ways with his girlfriend. He asked her for a keepsake, and she gave him a lock of hair. Chez displayed his ex-girlfriend's hair on the walls of his pottery shop. When visitors inquired about it, he shared his story. Other women were surprised by Chez Galip's sorrow, and they also started leaving locks of hair for him. Later, Galip decided to open a museum.
