Mr. Nguyen Van Bay, from Truc Ninh, Nam Dinh, expresses dismay: “The current ticket prices are excessively high compared to before. Many people in our group say that visiting the bay is becoming out of reach for Vietnamese people, more suitable for tourists on premium tours.”
Mr. Le Viet Huy, a tourist from Ho Chi Minh City, believes that the ticket prices are not high if tourists complete the full itinerary. Tourists need not worry about being overcharged. However, for those with poor health who can only visit 1-2 caves, it is indeed a waste.
Not only individual tourists but also many travel companies find it difficult due to the increased ticket prices.
Mr. Nguyen Van Tap, from New Focus Travel Company, says: “The consecutive increases in ticket prices in 2016, 2017, and especially this time, have posed some challenges for companies in constructing and ensuring tour prices. We have to explain to customers the reasons for the price hike because this level can be considered quite high. We hope that management and services will also improve significantly to ensure quality.”
