Hey everyone, here's my take on the HiTune H3 True Wireless Stereo Earbuds after two months of usage. The box looks a bit worn out now, and the color has faded a bit, but I believe two months is enough time for me to provide some subjective evaluations. Hopefully, my review will be helpful for those looking to purchase a suitable product, and I'm eager to hear feedback from those who have used the product to fully decipher this little H3 buddy from as many perspectives as possible.Product packaging design
The cardboard box is sturdy with an interesting flip-open design, featuring a stylized product code on the front alongside the product name.
On the back, there's a 2D image of the product and its technical specifications.
At the bottom, you'll find manufacturer information and several product certifications like CE, FCC, UK CA, and more.
A sturdy box would ensure better transportation, giving a more satisfying unboxing experience. However, the lack of product images on the outside doesn't seem very optimized.Product Design
The design resembles Airpod 2, in terms of color and Earbuds style, however, the H3 charging case is sleeker at the edges. To give you a better idea, let's delve into the product design details.
Upon unboxing, the H3 earbuds charging case is immediately visible at the center of the box. With a sturdy paper box design, the distance from the charging case to the edges is about 4.5cm. The outer layer of the H3 is also covered with a layer of bubble wrap to ensure absolute safety for the product during transportation, preventing scratches from bumps against the paper frame. Indeed, the company pays meticulous attention to detail in every aspect of post-production.
Included with the product is a USB to TypeC charging cable, approximately 0.5m long, specifically designed for charging the earbuds. This is a standard charging cable (5V/1A) to ensure the battery of the charging case remains undamaged when using high-power chargers (20W/45W/65W/67W/100W/120W...). The low output of this charging cable ensures compatibility with various chargers.
On the other side of the box, we have a user manual (about the product, features, etc.). Upon closer inspection, you'll notice the manual is housed in an envelope, snugly fitting the box frame. The company demonstrates clever design (as shown in the image) making it easy to remove the envelope.Charging Dock
The hinge is quite sturdy, smoothly opening and closing with a reassuring sound, showing no signs of horizontal misalignment.
At the back, there's 1 hidden circular button, well-finished and flush with the surface of the charging dock, offering a seamless touch experience without any discomfort. This button serves 3 functions- Close the lid, press once to check the remaining battery percentage
- Open the lid, press and hold for 3s to disconnect from the current device and be ready to connect to new devices
- Open the lid, press and hold for about 10s to completely reset the earbuds
At the bottom, there's a TypeC charging port (no plastic button to cover it)On the top of the charging dock, there's the UGREEN logo, embossed to prevent smudging
The charging dock size is quite compact, weighing around 30g
The charging dock has a battery capacity of 320mAh using Li-Po battery.Earbuds
If the charging dock design resembles Airpod 2, then the H3 earbuds are quite similar to Airpod 3. The characteristic of Earbuds is that they may be slightly challenging to wear with different ear sizes, but for me, they are easy and secure to wear, providing good noise isolation as they fit snugly. This style seems to be quite popular among Earbuds users.
The earbuds are made of glossy white plastic, making them easy to clean.
The joints are well-finished, gliding smoothly without any discomfort or noticeable presence of the joints.
The metal mesh dust guard is well-finished
UGREEN logo is located on top of the earbuds
An initial assessment of the design reveals that both the charging dock and earbuds are meticulously crafted, with attention to every detail and angle. If I hadn't already bought them, I wouldn't believe they're in the range of $20-$30Highlights
Firstly, it's the design, solid and as I described above.Functionality Operations
Functions like Play/Pause/Answer/Hang up all work smoothly, thanks to the sensitive touch controls.
Bluetooth 5.2 Technology
connects quickly, responsively, and smoothly. The connection range is also similar to 5.0, which is 10m.
Relatively Long Battery Life.
When the earbuds are fully charged by the charging dock, the continuous music playback time is about 5.5 hours, and with the charging dock, it extends up to 25 hours. This ensures usage needs for several days.
Low Latency
I use the earbuds for gaming on PC. Since my PC doesn't have Bluetooth, I use a USB Bluetooth adapter. I find the connection to the earbuds very fast. While playing LoL, combat is smooth with almost zero latency from image to sound transmission, including the in-game pings, which are perfectly synced (as the company claims, 70ms). This is perhaps an imperceptible delay for the human ear.
For gaming, it's advisable to switch to Game Mode by pressing and holding the touch area of both earbuds for 3 seconds. This tightens the sound..Active noise cancellation is relatively good.
Especially in terms of call quality, the noise cancellation is quite effective. I often use the earbuds for recording and calling with friends.Water Resistance
Suitable for use during workouts..
Smart Indicator Light
On the charging dock, there's a battery indicator light. If the white light is blinking in a circle, the battery is between 30-100%
If the red light is blinking, the battery is below 30%
On the earbuds, there's a white blinking indicator light in the touch area
The circular indicator light, without any blur, leads me to evaluate the battery indicator feature quite positivelyAspects I'm not quite satisfied with
Firstly, despite the glossy white finish which makes it easy to wipe clean, it's prone to scratches, so careful handling is needed for long-lasting beauty
Secondly, when listening to music, especially Rap, the initial connection sound may be slightly distorted, not like noise interference but more like a machine voice. Once connected properly, the sound quality is excellent. When listening to Rap, the bass is deep, ensuring solid sound quality.
However, the sound quality and bass of these Earbuds will greatly depend on the fit in the ear. Overall, I assess that they are quite suitable for activities like studying (language learning), conversations, and gaming. However, for music, they can be a bit picky, especially for genres that demand deep bass.
Another point to note, although I mentioned the good finishing quality of the joints on the earbuds, over time these joints may darken.
Above is my review of the HiTune H3 True Wireless Stereo Earbuds. My final evaluation is they're excellent for the price range of 500K-600K with a 12-month warranty, offering 1-for-1 exchange for defects, which is quite impressive. Those interested can find them on various e-commerce platforms. I purchased mine on Lazada about 2 months ago, and they're still working perfectly fine. I got them for around 560K at that time.
For those who have used them, please share your feedback for further discussion.
Appreciate it, everyone!
