Unboxing Apple Watch Series 8: Let's see what's inside!
The outer box of the Apple Watch Series 8 still maintains its white color with the 'Watch' branding and the bitten apple logo embossed, similar to the previous generation. The back of the box displays basic information about the product for user convenience.

Opening up reveals a variety of vibrant color options and different straps of the Apple Watch Series 8, all looking lively. Additionally, we'll find two smaller boxes containing straps, the watch itself, instruction manuals, and a charging cable.

Hands-on with Apple Watch Series 8: Familiar design, still sleek and sophisticated
At first glance, many may find the Apple Watch Series 8 somewhat mundane compared to the latest Apple Watch Ultra model. However, I believe that the focus on health upgrades, safety, and connectivity makes the Apple Watch Series 8 the epitome of the best improvements for smartwatches.

All the notable upgrades of the Apple Series 8 are internal. The new Apple watch features an under-skin temperature sensor – a long-rumored feature – and in addition, a power-saving mode that users have been eagerly anticipating. This could help extend the Apple Watch's battery life up to 36 hours. For more details, I'll discuss further in the next part of the article.

The exterior of the Apple Watch Series 8 bears many similarities to the Apple Watch Series 7, but the frame is more curved and the screen bezel is thinner than the previous generation. This screen is optimized for watch faces on watchOS 9, which I find to be one of the intriguing aspects of the Apple Watch Series 8. Personally, I've been using the Apple Watch Series 3, so transitioning to the 8th generation of Apple's smartwatch looks fantastic.

On the side of the Apple Watch Series 8, we'll find the familiar Digital Crown. This year's Apple Watch Series 8 colors include Midnight, Silver, Starlight, and Product Red. The two shades of blue and green are no longer available, but I don't find this to be too significant. Additionally, the straps of the Apple Watch Series 8 are customizable to best suit each person's individual style.

I really enjoy the feeling of wearing the Apple Watch Series 8 on my wrist, especially with the strap made of soft, comfortable rubber. The version I'm wearing is 45 mm, which will suit men with larger wrists. If you're a woman or a man with smaller wrists, you may consider the more compact 41 mm version.
Apple Watch Series 8 introduces new features, with a 36-hour battery life
The new features exclusive to Series 8 will be more significant and mainly focus on health. Specifically, sleep tracking and menstrual cycle tracking for women. For sleep tracking, the feature will operate based on temperature discrepancies during the night. Additionally, external factors also play a role in affecting your sleep.

Even more intriguing is the menstrual cycle tracking feature for women, which operates with skin temperature indicators. These changes will help the watch calculate and synthesize accurate metrics regarding ovulation. The new sensor is instrumental in ensuring the effectiveness of this feature through Apple Health.

One of the standout features that I really appreciate on the Apple Watch Series 8 is the Accident Detection feature, which assists users in case of unforeseen car accidents. Specifically, this feature detects accidents and sends an SOS signal using upgraded sensors in the new generation Apple Watch.

For those who may not know, the Apple Watch Series 8 features two new motion sensors inside, along with an improved gyroscope and accelerometer. These combined can sample motion four times faster than before, allowing the watch to accurately detect incidents as they occur.
In the event of an unfortunate incident, the device will automatically call emergency services and notify your emergency contacts. While this is something you hope never happens, it can be a lifesaver if such a situation arises.

Moreover, in low power mode, the battery in the Apple Watch Series 8 can last up to 36 hours. Without activating this mode, you can use the watch continuously for 18 hours between charges. Extending battery life will spare you from having to charge the watch as frequently as previous smartwatches.
How much is the Apple Watch Series 8?
Currently, the price of the Apple Watch Series 8 41mm (GPS) at Mytour is 11.99 million VND, which I believe is a relatively good price considering what this smartwatch has to offer. Although its design hasn't changed much from previous generations, the new features on this watch will greatly benefit your life.
