Hands-On with Huawei FreeClip: Unique Design, Comfortable Wearing Experience
Although open-ear headphone products are still not very common and raise concerns about sound quality and wearing comfort, Huawei has been quite innovative with the release of Huawei FreeClip.

This headphone model stands out as one of the rare open-ear headphone products recently introduced by a renowned technology brand. Personally, I'm not too surprised by this because Huawei is known for developing and releasing unique products, such as the Huawei Watch Buds or the previous FreeBuds Lipstick.

Overall, the charging case of Huawei FreeClip remains compact and sleek with a soft oval shape. I really admire the silver coating that Huawei has used on the Huawei FreeClip. Thanks to this, the device's charging case looks very luxurious, elegant, and visually appealing.

On the front of the charging case, there will be a small light used to indicate the status. This allows you to easily monitor the headphone's battery status. At the bottom of the case, there is a USB-C charging port.

When you open the charging case, you will encounter the Huawei FreeClip with a very unique design. Although there are already many open-ear headphone models on the market, I think there are still many people unfamiliar with this type of product.

Specifically, the design of Huawei FreeClip is divided into 3 small parts, including the Acoustic Ball - a component used to produce sound, placed in front of your ear canal, a C-shaped hook used to hold the headphone components, and finally a vocal block at the back. When in use, you will clip the device like an earring, with the housing placed outside the ear canal unlike traditional earphones.

Huawei FreeClip is also very lightweight, only 5.7 grams for each ear. As a result, the device feels very comfortable and easy to use, without causing fatigue, pressure, or ear pain even with prolonged use. The earphones also grip the ears very securely, reducing concerns about them falling off during intense activities or sports.
Huawei FreeClip delivers an enjoyable sound experience
The sound transmission method of Huawei FreeClip is entirely different from the headphones we have used before. Specifically, the product uses air conduction technology - transmitting sound into the air, which can be understood simply as wearing a mini speaker on your ear and listening to music that way. As a result, your ears will not be completely blocked, still able to perceive sounds from the environment. This is also a drawback of the device as it cannot provide noise cancellation.

Huawei FreeClip is equipped with dual magnetic dynamic drivers, providing impressive bass quality for users. The device is also optimally designed to leak less sound compared to commonly seen open-ear headphones, giving you a more private experience with less impact on those around you.

The device also supports connection to your phone via the AI Life app, allowing you to adjust controls with gestures and access four EQ modes to customize sound. According to the manufacturer, Huawei FreeClip can be used continuously for about 40 minutes without using the charging case. This figure is not very high at the moment, but I think it's understandable as the device still has some design limitations.
Conclusion
At a price of £179, approximately 5.5 million Vietnamese dong, I think Huawei FreeClip will be a suitable product for experiencing more because this figure is quite difficult to reach for the majority of ordinary users. However, if you want to buy an open-ear headphone for a comfortable wearing experience while still ensuring good sound quality, then Huawei FreeClip promises to be an ideal choice.
