Recently, Marshall introduced its latest portable Bluetooth speaker called Middleton. The product
Marshall Middletonis a perfect addition being larger than Willen, Emberton 2, and Stockwell 2 to deliver better sound quality while still being smaller than Killburn 2 and Tufton, making it easy to carry around.

The design of Marshall Middleton resembles any other Marshall speaker. It still boasts an 'iconic' design with a black faux leather finish and a metal mesh front with the Marshall logo. Anyone with some knowledge of audio equipment can recognize this as a Marshall speaker.

This design is both a positive and a negative, for those who admire Marshall's design, this is still a very beautiful design, but some users feel that it's outdated.

On the top, there are control buttons including a button to switch connection mode, a button to check battery status, a knob to adjust volume and skip tracks along with two clusters of buttons to adjust bass and treble levels. All adjustment information is displayed on an LED strip.

These buttons help users control the speaker more quickly.

The back only has an AUX port and a USB-C charging port. The speaker also supports reverse charging via the USB-C port.

Additionally, there is a point on the body for attaching a strap.

Marshall Middleton measures 109 x 230 x 95mm, which is quite portable, but it weighs 1.8 kg, quite heavy for a Bluetooth speaker. Perhaps this speaker is mainly suitable for home use, but it can still be taken outdoors if needed.

Previous Marshall products have consistently delivered excellent sound quality, and Middleton is no exception. Middleton is equipped with 4 drivers and 2 passive radiators with a total power output of up to 60W.

In the bass range, you can clearly feel the depth and solidity, and the midrange and treble also perform impressively. Vocals are clear and not overshadowed by other frequencies. Especially when experiencing at different volume levels, the sound remains undistorted.

Furthermore, the speaker also has the ability to produce sound in 360 degrees, although the power of the auxiliary speakers is quite small and not as good as other non-battery-powered Marshall speakers. This may be due to battery limitations as well as size constraints.

Marshall Middleton is equipped with a 9600mAh battery, according to the manufacturer's announcement, the speaker can play music for up to 20 hours. The usage time is not too impressive but probably still sufficient for most needs.

However, the charging time is quite long, it takes about 4 hours to fully charge the product's battery.

Another special feature is that the speaker is dust and water resistant according to IP67 standard, allowing users to use the speaker outdoors without worrying about getting wet or dusty inside, causing damage to the speaker.

In summary, Marshall Middleton is an extremely impressive product from Marshall, featuring a remarkable and luxurious design despite its compact size. The speaker still has some drawbacks such as long charging time, but the sound quality will definitely make up for it. The price may also be a barrier, but for those willing to invest, this is a highly valuable portable Bluetooth speaker.
