Firstly, it must be mentioned that this speaker comes in a beautifully designed box. Upon opening, in addition to the main speaker, the manufacturer provides us with all the necessary cables such as a power cable, USB-A to USB-A cable, a 3.5mm jack, an instruction manual, and a small fabric cleaning cloth. Edifier QD35 comes in two color options: white and black. Personally, I was impressed with the white version, so I borrowed it from the company for this hands-on review.
Overview, Edifier QD35 is a mid-sized Bluetooth speaker with a very striking design. Specifically, the product has dimensions of 277.8 × 164.8 × 141.7mm and weighs 2.64kg. With this size, I can still easily place the product on the work desk, TV shelf without taking up too much space.
The design of Edifier QD35 is inspired by shipping containers, with an overall rectangular shape and patterns on the upper metal part. In addition, the device is supplemented with soft curved lines to bring a more harmonious overall appearance.
The front face of Edifier QD35 boasts a sleek transparent design housing two large speakers that exude charm and uniqueness. The transparent build allows a glimpse of the metallic frame and the intricate LED lighting system inside the product. The shiny and prominent frame adds an enticing touch, especially when combined with the captivating LED light system that creates a beautiful light reflection. Due to its compact and transparent design, our Mytour team jokingly refers to these speakers as a fish tank, and honestly, at first glance, it does resemble one.
Beneath the front face, you'll find an electronic clock system that makes checking the time effortless, even in the dark. On the right side of the clock, the word “EDIFIER” is elegantly illuminated with a similar lighting design.
The left side is equipped with a USB-A port and a USB-C port. These two ports utilize the high-performance TurboGaN charging technology, capable of charging over 1000 compatible devices such as smartphones, tablets, gaming devices, etc. The USB-C port has a maximum power of 35W, while the USB-A port has a maximum power of 18W when used individually. If both ports are used simultaneously, they will share a total power of 18W.
On the right side, you'll find a multifunctional button (also serving as the power button), two rotary knobs for volume control, and LED lights. This layout is intuitive, easy to operate, and user-friendly.
Turning to the rear, you'll discover two noise-canceling compartments, a power switch, a power port, an AUX port, and an additional USB-A port.
The Bluetooth speaker Edifier QD35 supports high-resolution audio signal transmission through the USB-A port and AUX input on the rear side. This device is certified for Hi-Res Audio, Hi-Res Audio Wireless, and LDAC, providing users with the highest quality audio experience. Moreover, you can stream high-quality music with a 96kHz sampling rate through Bluetooth connectivity.
Thanks to the MazeTube Bass Reflex Channels and upgraded TurbMuff Air Noise Suppression Technology, noise and reverberation are reduced to the minimum. In fact, playing music from these speakers in the Mytour studio, which is only about 10m2 and surrounded by glass, results in excellent sound gathering without any echo, providing a crisp and immersive audio experience.
Edifier equips this speaker with 3-inch drivers featuring aluminum alloy diaphragms and a long excursion design, enabling the reproduction of bass down to a frequency of 60Hz while enhancing the richness of midrange tones. The 1-inch silk dome tweeter is finely tuned to deliver precise high-frequency reproduction, offering sharp and bright treble tones.
Edifier QD35's digital signal processor (DSP) chip is designed to accurately divide signals into bass and treble. With two independent processing paths, the TI Closed Loop digital amplifier optimizes the distribution of audio signals across different frequency ranges to target drivers, ensuring precise audio reproduction. With an output power of up to 40W RMS, this device can fill spaces up to 50 square meters.

In real-world experience, the Edifier QD35 delivers good audio quality in its price range, satisfying entertainment and regular music listening needs. The volume is at a moderate level, making the speaker suitable for indoor rather than outdoor use. The bass range is average, and unfortunately, the QD35 lacks sub-bass, affecting its performance with EDM and bass-heavy music. It falls slightly short of delivering a fully immersive experience.
However, for users not overly critical about bass, this issue is not a significant concern. Each person has different music preferences and listening perceptions, so adjusting the EQ and audio settings in the Edifier Connect app can provide an optimal experience.
Overall, the Edifier QD35 is a compact and visually appealing Bluetooth speaker with various integrated features such as a clock, GaN charging, and eye-catching LED lighting. The audio quality is satisfactory for the average user, meeting the needs without demanding excessive performance.
