As the inaugural product of Xiaomi's subsidiary brand, Pocophone F1 stands as a mid-range marvel, boasting performance that rivals flagship counterparts.
Last week, Xiaomi officially unveiled its sub-brand, Pocophone, and its debut product named Pocophone F1 in India. This smartphone instantly garnered much attention for its Snapdragon 845 chip, 6GB RAM, liquid cooling, 4000mAh battery, infrared facial recognition... all at a price ranging from 7 to 10 million dong. Many Vietnamese users, upon learning about the Pocophone F1, eagerly yearned to possess this device.
That desire has now materialized as today, at an event held in Jakarta (Indonesia), Xiaomi has officially announced the Pocophone F1 for the Southeast Asian market, including Vietnam. The most anticipated information, the price, has been revealed: the Pocophone F1 with 64GB of internal storage will be priced at $7.99 million and 128GB at $8.69 million. The device will be available in three colors: black (Graphite Black), blue (Steel Blue), and red (Rosso Red).

The box of the Pocophone F1 features the prominent Pocophone brand name and the small 'by Xiaomi' text below.

On the back of the box are some details about the product.

The accessories included with the device are a charger, USB-C cable, and a protective case. The accompanying charger supports Quick Charge 3.0 for fast charging.

Introducing the Pocophone F1. The device boasts a 6.18-inch display with a notch.

The bezel of the Pocophone F1's display is comparable in size to that of the iPhone X.

To achieve powerful specs and a slew of other technologies while maintaining a low price point, Xiaomi had to cut costs in terms of design on the Pocophone F1. This device is entirely made of plastic. However, this helps with grip as it doesn't feel as slippery as aluminum and reduces the risk of shattering like glass.

The dual camera setup, fingerprint sensor are aligned straight in the middle. Xiaomi also adds a red accent ring around this camera module.

The Pocophone brand name on the back, once again accompanied by the 'by Xiaomi' text, very, very small that users will have to pay close attention to notice.

The bottom edge of the device houses the USB-C port, external speaker, and microphone.

At the top edge of the device is the 3.5mm headphone jack.

The Pocophone F1 comes with a minimum of 64GB of internal storage, but the manufacturer still equips it with a microSD card slot. If users do not use a memory card, they can also use this tray to insert a second SIM card.

The strength of this device lies in its Snapdragon 845 chip - currently the most powerful chip from Qualcomm and only found in products priced much higher. Additionally, it integrates liquid cooling technology to maintain performance over extended periods.

Scoring 263,806 points on the AnTuTu Benchmark test, the device proves its prowess.

Featuring UFS 2.1 internal memory, currently the fastest in the Android world, offering impressive read and write speeds.
The Pocophone F1 boasts dual speakers with one at the bottom edge and one in the earpiece. However, the stereo sound effect isn't very distinct as the bottom speaker completely overshadows the earpiece in terms of volume and sound quality.

The dual-camera setup of the Poco F1 consists of 12MP and 5MP sensors, with the 5MP sensor used for depth sensing to support the portrait mode feature. The primary sensor is the Sony IMX363, similar to the Mi 8 and Mi Mix 2S, supporting Dual Pixel autofocus.

With a starting price of 8 million dong, the Pocophone F1 offers top-notch performance in its price range. However, users who prefer a sleek, glossy design may not find it appealing.
