realme recently unveiled a new member of the GT Neo series, the realme GT Neo5 SE, a variant with trimmed-down hardware specifications compared to its predecessor. Despite being an SE version with reduced specs, the realme GT Neo5 SE still offers standout features such as an appealing design, robust performance with the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 chip, and a large battery capacity with 100W fast charging, all at a price of just over 7 million VND.

The realme GT Neo5 SE follows a similar packaging style to its sibling, the GT Neo5. The device comes with a complete set of accessories including a fast charger, USB-C charging cable, and a black silicone case. realme offers two color options for the GT Neo5 SE: black and youthful green.

In the black variant, the GT Neo5 SE features a back panel finished with frosted matte glass to resist sweat and fingerprints, while the green variant has a slightly glossy back design. The device has 3D curved edges on the back for a more comfortable grip during usage.

Overall, a familiar design language can be observed on the realme GT Neo5 SE, as realme has employed this design style on the previously launched GT Neo5.

On the back of the device, users will find a main cluster consisting of three lenses, housed in a rather large rectangular module, occupying about 1/3 of the back. Of course, this camera cluster is not adorned with a Snapdragon chip pattern nor does it have LED edge lighting like the standard GT Neo5 version.

In terms of camera specs, realme equips this device with a 64MP wide-angle camera, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 2MP 40X macro camera. Overall, the camera specs meet the majority of users' common needs, with good quality output. With the macro camera, the device can capture images that the naked eye may not perceive.

Below are some images captured from the main camera of the realme GT Neo5 SE for readers to reference the quality.
On the front, realme equips the GT Neo5 SE with a 6.74-inch display, utilizing a 10-bit color OLED panel with a resolution of 1240 x 2722, equivalent to QHD+ resolution. This screen has a high refresh rate of 144Hz and can reach a brightness of up to 1400 nits, as well as supporting displays such as HDR10+, Dolby Vision...

The realme GT Neo5 SE features a 'hole-punch' design with a 16MP selfie camera placed in the center of the top bezel. This is a flat screen, with an integrated optical fingerprint sensor underneath for added convenience during use.

In terms of performance, the realme GT Neo5 SE is the next smartphone to be equipped with the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 chip. This is a powerful upgrade version of the previous Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chip, which was not favored by many manufacturers. With this new chip, Qualcomm brings forth incredibly powerful performance, with AnTuTu Benchmark scores of devices running on the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 chip reaching nearly 1 million points.

With this level of performance, the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 can easily meet all users' gaming needs, from light to heavy. Based on the images, we can see that the temperature variation of the realme GT Neo5 SE during benchmarking doesn't increase significantly, meaning the device won't encounter overheating issues during prolonged heavy gaming sessions. However, this is just speculation; real-world testing is needed to truly assess the capabilities of the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 chip.

The realme GT Neo5 SE offers memory options such as 8GB/256GB, 12GB/256GB, 12GB/512GB, and even a premium version with 16GB/1TB. The device boasts a 5000mAh battery, supporting 100W fast charging technology with the included charger. The realme GT Neo5 SE will come pre-installed with Android 13 with realme UI 4.0 interface.

The realme GT Neo5 SE will soon hit shelves in the Chinese market with a starting price of 2099 RMB, equivalent to 7.1 million VND for the 8GB/256GB option. The 16GB/1TB version is priced at only 2799 RMB, equivalent to 9.55 million VND. There is currently no information regarding whether realme will officially distribute this device in Vietnam or not.
