Simple design, easy installation
Similar to other smart doorbell sets, EZVIZ DB2C consists of two components in the device, including a doorbell integrated with a camera and a signaling doorbell connected to the Wi-Fi transmitter. These two devices are linked by a dedicated encrypted connection to enhance security.
The doorbell is attached to an easily installable bracket. In the case of battery charging, removing the doorbell from the bracket takes only about 3 seconds. The mounting bracket can be securely fixed on the wall using 3M adhesive or screw bolts, meeting all homeowner requirements without worrying about affecting the exterior wall.
The device's camera features a 1/2.7” CMOS sensor with a 160° wide-angle lens, supporting surveillance in low-light environments with infrared rays up to 6 meters away. In this way, the camera on this doorbell plays a role similar to a dedicated surveillance camera, ensuring home safety even in locations without light sources for monitoring. The camera's signaling system has the option to illuminate to inform the person in front of the doorbell that the camera is active. Alternatively, it can be turned off to ensure security.
The external doorbell is connected to a signal transmitter with a speaker for audio playback, an antenna to enhance Wi-Fi connectivity, and a memory card slot for video storage. The signal transmitter has a direct plug-in power socket design, simplifying the installation process for users. It only requires connection to any socket without the need for a separate adapter. The signal transmitter can connect to the doorbell within a range of up to 3 meters.Connection
The camera doorbell and the alarm bell are connected via 2.4GHz wifi. For optimal performance, it's recommended to install these two devices within a range of 3 meters. Therefore, it's crucial to place these devices in suitable locations to ensure the best possible usage.
On the smartphone, install the EZVIZ app to integrate the devices into the control interface for usage. This app also connects with other smart products from EZVIZ's ecosystem. During the setup process, the device will provide voice prompts in Vietnamese to help users easily identify the sequence of device configurations.
In terms of security, EZVIZ devices are always linked to a cloud account. If a new device logs in, the system will request an authentication code for use. Of course, the product cannot be reused unless the owner unbinds it from the account.Features and User Interface
The user interface includes sections for live view, video history, toggle vibration, and a battery capacity icon displayed as a percentage. Just below are event categories, including tasks like motion detection PIR alerts (up to 5m range), doorbell press alerts, and nuisance alerts (when someone attempts to tamper with the doorbell unintentionally).
Regarding its functionality, the EZVIZ DB2C sends alerts to smartphones similar to the way the company's surveillance cameras operate. As a device specifically using a battery, the DB2C applies an intelligent human subject detection algorithm to capture images when needed, including customizing detection sensitivity at distances of 2 meters, 3 meters, and 5 meters. This allows users to easily identify those standing at their doorstep within the pre-set range. The non-disturb mode retains alerts in the status notification bar without immediate push notifications.
To converse directly with the person at the door, users can select the 'Live View > Talk' option and speak into the phone to send audio signals to the doorbell.
When someone rings the doorbell, the phone with the EZVIZ app installed will notify like a regular mobile call. The interface at this point prioritizes audio signals, followed by the option to view the camera. Meanwhile, the internal signal receiver inside the house will also show what the person at the door is saying after the doorbell notification sound.
The maximum volume of this alarm bell reaches 65dB within a 3-meter radius, offering users a selection of 20 ringtones to choose from.
Dual anti-tampering is a standout feature of the DB2C. If someone attempts to remove the doorbell intentionally, a message will be immediately sent to the phone, and the bell will sound an alert in case of unauthorized removal or threat by the intruder. This feature comprises two parts:- Anti-tampering alarm: The bell will sound an alert when someone attempts unauthorized removal and simultaneously send a message to the phone.

- Protecting CloudPlay accounts: Intruders cannot use the doorbell unless the account owner unbinds it. Therefore, if the doorbell is stolen, the cloud connection with the camera becomes useless.
The playback interface of the EZVIZ software inherits features from EZVIZ surveillance cameras, presenting a timeline-based interface with quick and automatic access facilitated by prominent colors on the timeline slider.
The EZVIZ DB2C is equipped with a 5,200mAh battery, providing usage for several months. A quick estimation, receiving around 20 video alerts per day consumes about 1% of battery capacity, allowing usage for approximately 3 months before needing to recharge.
The 5,200mAh battery can be charged multiple times, coupled with a low power consumption mode. Conclusion
With a reference price around 2.5 million VND, the EZVIZ DB2C is a wireless doorbell choice that is easy to install, use, provides two-way communication, and ensures stable surveillance. Suitable for monitoring or exchanging information at the front door, it partially replaces a surveillance camera with its PIR motion detection, intelligent subject framing, memory-efficient recording, and dual anti-tampering feature.
