Nearly a year ago, Xiaomi introduced a wireless charging dock with a power output of up to 100W, compatible with Xiaomi phones supporting Turbo Charge fast charging. However, up to now, no Xiaomi smartphone supports 100W wireless fast charging, with the maximum being 67W on certain models.

A unique feature of this product is that upon unboxing, users will receive three items, including the 100W wireless charging dock, a 120W fast charger, and a 1.5m USB-C 6A cable. This means users can immediately use it without having to purchase an additional 100W charger. On the market, the 120W charging cable set is currently being sold for prices ranging from 600,000 to 700,000 dong.

Regarding Xiaomi's 100W wireless charging dock, the product features a premium and elegant design, primarily made of extremely sturdy metal and finished in black. The charging dock is relatively lightweight, unlike many high-power charging docks on the market.

One noticeable design element is that Xiaomi has raised the base legs above the flat surface by approximately 1.5cm. This is to support the cooling process of the charging dock, as Xiaomi has equipped it with a small cooling fan underneath, preventing overheating during high-power charging. As we all know, wireless charging efficiency is not high, and energy will be lost during the charging process, generating heat energy.

Xiaomi states that the charging dock is crafted with 7 layers of protection to ensure safety during usage, preventing electric overload issues. It is compatible with nearly all wireless charging devices in the market. During operation, the cooling fan runs at maximum power, generating noise at only 25dB when measured from a distance of 30cm, ensuring minimal disturbance to users.
Located on the back of the charging dock is a USB-C port for power supply. Xiaomi advises users to utilize only the accompanying 120W charger to power the dock, as both Xiaomi phones and the dock adhere to the proprietary Turbo Charge fast charging standard designed by Xiaomi. Use of other chargers with different charging technologies may result in incompatibility.

Mytour conducted tests on the device, originally supporting 50W fast wireless charging. However, when using Xiaomi's 120W charger or a 100W PD charger from another brand, the device still achieves the full 50W fast wireless charging. Currently, only the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra supports 67W fast charging. Therefore, in the future, when Xiaomi develops 100W fast wireless charging technology for smartphones, this charging dock will remain fully functional and compatible.

Naturally, as a wireless charging dock, this product also aligns with the current popular Qi charging standard, allowing wireless charging for devices from other manufacturers. However, the charging power at this stage will be lower due to differences in fast charging standards. Xiaomi does not disclose the Qi charging power, but Mytour's tests with [device] revealed extremely slow charging.

Regarding pricing, the Xiaomi 100W wireless charging dock is currently available in the Chinese market priced between 229 to 299 RMB depending on the store and time of purchase, equivalent to approximately 770,000 to 1 million VND. This pricing is quite reasonable considering what users receive: a fast charging dock, a 120W charger, and a 1.5m cable.
