An Vu and a beloved group of fashion enthusiasts have selected artistic 'check-in' spots, intriguing even those who have visited Thailand multiple times.
Hanoi's Fashion Expert Recommends Fantastic Travel Destinations in Thailand

There have been countless articles on how to go to Thailand, where to play, so I won't go into detail anymore. This article is more about personal experiences and documenting the journey of five people, also referencing previous reviews.
I purchased Nok Air tickets with 30 kg checked baggage and 7 kg carry-on, so I could bring a lot of stuff. The flight started at 9 pm. Departing from Bangkok at 11 pm, we arrived in Pattaya, our first stop in this beautiful country. Despite the late hour, we ventured out to find a place to eat and explore the night.
Since it was already night, only street vendors were open, but the best food was grilled squid. You can eat at any street vendor because the food is delicious and fresh. After wandering the night streets, we took a taxi back to the hotel and ended the first night at 4 am.
Day 1:
Starting the new day at 11 am, after a late night, we left the hotel and rented a scooter for a more convenient journey. Remember to bring your driver's license, as police checks can happen anytime. Also, apply sunscreen or wear sun-protective clothing to avoid sunburn, as it's hot and sunny here.
We had lunch at a sidewalk restaurant on a small street, the food was delicious and affordable. Thai cuisine suited our taste as we enjoy spicy food. After lunch, we went to a café in the shopping center along Pattaya's seaside, called The Coffee Club, with a charming atmosphere and delicious food and drinks.
By 4 pm, we strolled around Pattaya to find photo spots and explore the area, focusing on the main streets and small alleys, filled with thousands of bars.
That evening, we continued to explore street food and watched a sex show. If you want to save money, you can watch it in small bars on the pedestrian street. If you prefer larger shows, head to Big Eye, with ticket prices at 1,500 baht.
Day 2:
After checking out, we took a taxi back to Bangkok. If you're traveling solo or in a small group, consider taking the bus to save costs. As a group of 5, we found a taxi convenient and economical at 1500 baht. After dropping our bags, we indulged in the street food paradise, then headed to Central World for shopping. This area offers plenty of luxury brands for a satisfying shopping spree.
In the evening, we visited Asiatique, a hub of restaurants and souvenir shops. It's advisable to go early for picturesque scenes. Due to our late arrival, we managed only a few shots.
Day 3:
This morning, we explored various markets for clothing. We ended our morning at Platinum and proceeded to Chatuchak market, known for its vintage items, open only on weekends until 7 pm. The market is a maze, offering not only vintage clothes but also furniture and pets. Despite the heat, we found some treasures and enjoyed the experience.
On the third evening, we ventured to Khaosan, a lively district with numerous bars, reminiscent of Tạ Hiện street. The atmosphere here is much livelier, and you can freely stroll and choose any bar you fancy. We had dinner at Magic Thai Food, offering affordable and delicious meals. They also had a fantastic magician who left us in awe. The restaurant is conveniently located at the beginning of the street, making it easy to spot.
Wrapping up Day 3 with a relaxing foot massage, living up to its well-deserved reputation. Truly an amazing way to unwind!
Day 4:
Today is all about exploring art and culture. Our first stop is BACC (Bangkok Art and Culture Center), open from 10 am to 9 pm, closed only on Mondays. Address: 939 Rama I Road Wongmai, Patumwan.
Absolutely stunning! The lower floors display and sell art, but it's on the 7th and 8th floors where you find picturesque spots. A must-visit for those seeking beautiful photo opportunities.
By noon, we headed to The Commons, another trendy hotspot not to be missed. Address: 335 Soi Thonglor 17 Klongton Nue, Wattana, Bangkok.
This area boasts many charming restaurants. We were captivated from the first glance. You can choose any restaurant; Roast is reputedly famous and delicious. Unfortunately, arriving at lunchtime meant a bit of a wait, so we decided to dine on the first floor.
After lunch, we relaxed in the courtyard and took photos. At 2 pm, our journey continued in search of a cozy cafe. Thonglor has numerous beautiful cafes on both sides of the street, making it easy to find picturesque corners. We walked, discovering many charming street corners.
Our next destination is Emquartier, where you'll find numerous renowned brands. The first floor and basement boast a variety of dining options. As you ascend the floors, you'll encounter famous brands and cafes like Vanilla. Don't forget to capture the beauty of these places—it's a photographer's dream.
After strolling around the buildings, we headed to the basement for a delightful meal. Following our time at Emquartier, my companions proceeded to IKEA, while I returned to the room to rest and wait for the group to gather for dinner.
Day 5:
Today marks our departure, and the reluctance to leave is palpable. Checking out early, we embarked on a continuous adventure until our return. In the morning, we enjoyed breakfast and a leisurely stroll around Siam. Later, we rushed to Bitterman Cafe (address: Soi Sala Daeng 1, Silom Bang Rak, Bangkok).
Based on a friend's recommendation and alluring pictures, we couldn't resist a visit. True to expectations, the spacious and cozy ambiance of the cafe impressed us. For lunch, only the first floor was open, offering numerous picturesque corners for Instagram-worthy photos. This is a place you shouldn't miss.
Around 1:00 PM, we made our way to BigC for some shopping, primarily picking up gifts, especially food items, for everyone. We returned to the hotel to collect our belongings and head to the airport by 4:00 PM.
Summing up the 5 days in Thailand, I find it incredibly delightful. The food is cheap and delicious, the cafes are beautiful and authentic, and there are plenty of shopping centers. Even after walking so much, the exhaustion is worth it. In general, I plan to visit Thailand many more times.
