The Low Rider El Diablo is the modern incarnation of the legendary 1983 Harley-Davidson FXRT. This model revives the rebellious spirit of 1980s Southern California in a contemporary design, complemented by an exquisitely crafted paint job that pays homage to the original FXRT. The Icons Collection features limited-edition models inspired by iconic Harley-Davidson models throughout history.
Each bike in this collection is a tribute to the Harley-Davidson brand, featuring distinctive paint colors and the iconic design style of the company, coupled with the most advanced technologies available today. All bikes in this collection are produced in limited quantities, numbered, and only released once. Additionally, no more than 2 bikes from the Icons Collection will be introduced each year.
With dual hard saddlebags and a fairing directly attached to the frame, the Low Rider El Diablo is always ready to conquer long journeys alongside the rider, while the Softail frame and the muscle power of the Milwaukee-Eight 117 engine provide the Low Rider El Diablo with a sporty performance. The bike is produced in limited quantities of only 1,500 units worldwide.
Developed based on the platform of the Low Rider ST model, the Low Rider El Diablo impresses with a unique color scheme hand-finished by Gunslinger Custom Paint, a long-time partner of Harley-Davidson. This paint starts with a base coat of El Diablo Bright Red, followed by a second coat of Bright Red Sunglo. After the pinstripes are applied, technicians will apply a layer of El Diablo Dark Red and gradually fade Dark Red Pearl around the color areas to create a depth effect.
Furthermore, another layer of El Diablo Dark Red Metallic paint will be applied around the El Diablo Bright Red color block, gradually fading where the color areas intersect. Upon removing the tape, El Diablo Bright Red pinstripes will appear on the saddlebags, gas tank, fenders, and fairing. Finally, hand-painted Pale Gold pinstripes will be added on top of the El Diablo Bright Red color areas. Additionally, the El Diablo Bright Red Sunglo paint layer is enhanced with gloss additives to create a 'candy' effect.
Regarding the engine, front forks, and exhaust pipes, they are painted black to make the El Diablo red color more prominent, while the wheel rims are coated with Matte Dark Bronze. The paint of the Low Rider El Diablo is meticulously finished by the craftsmen at Gunslinger Custom Paint workshop in Golden, Colorado. Gunslinger is a leading team in the United States specializing in paint design, with decades of experience collaborating with Harley-Davidson to create custom paint colors for CVO™️ models as well as limited edition color variants.
The Low Rider El Diablo features a sound system cleverly installed within the fairing, delivering premium audio quality. This system is equipped with a powerful and intelligent sound amplifier, utilizing digital signal processing (DSP) technology co-developed by Harley-Davidson and Rockford Fosgate, ensuring stable sound quality in harsh operating conditions. The system can Bluetooth connect to smartphones for online or offline music streaming through the 2-way speakers.
The speaker system comprises a pair of 5.25-inch subwoofers and two tweeters. Utilizing Bluetooth 4.2 technology for wireless connection with most devices, minimizing compression, delivering optimal sound quality.
