After upgrading to iOS 8, or what some call 'upgrading' to iOS 8, with Extensions, you can easily share important data with your friends or share it on social media platforms and cloud storage services. The feature also allows photo editing tools to deeply integrate with videos or images. Plus, there are plenty of other exciting things for you to explore.
Utilize Extension Feature (Expand Applications) on iPhone 6, 6 Plus, 5s
1. Share Extension (Effortless Data Sharing)
With this feature, you can share the content you are viewing from the web browser to social networks or some other services.
To perform, simply tap on the square icon located at the top right of the browser tab.
Next, select More to access the list of desired applications.
As shown in the image below, you can easily share content via Evernote.
2. Action (Expand browsing actions)
With this feature, you can easily add and utilize multiple tasks while browsing.
To proceed, simply press the More button next to the Print button.
Next, you can opt to activate Lastpass, bookmark the page, add the page to the home screen...
3. Photo Editing (Edit Images)
Instead of opening a photo editing app and selecting images to edit as before, the Extension feature will help users create desired images in a completely new way.
For example, if you want to edit an image, open the image, press edit as usual. Then, you will see installed editing apps on your device such as Camera 360, PhotoWonder. At this point, you just need to choose the app you want to use.
4. Storage Provider (Storage)
With Storage Provider, you can choose to store documents on the cloud storage service of your choice such as iCloud or Dropbox.
5. Today Extension (Today)
You can access the Notification Center to view the latest information of the day such as sports results...
6. Custom Keyboard (Keyboard Customization)
With Custom Keyboard, you can use third-party keyboards by selecting from the main keyboard.
