To promote the products of Mễ Trì village, the unique specialties of Hanoi, the SIFE team (National Economics University) in collaboration with VTC10, local authorities, and residents of Mễ Trì commune will organize the event 'Harvest Festival Celebration in Mễ Trì Village 2012' from 9:00 to 22:00 on October 6, 2012, at Mễ Trì Hạ communal house, Mễ Trì commune (Từ Liêm, Hanoi).
Various products made from green rice (green rice cake, green rice sweet soup, green rice sticky rice) and some other specialties of Hanoi (rice vermicelli soup, rolled cake,...) will also be introduced to the attendees.
The festival is also an opportunity for the people of Mễ Trì village to sell and promote products directly to consumers. The program promises to be an attractive and informative day with exciting and interesting activities such as food fair, folk games, lion dance, martial arts dance...
The organizers hope to recreate a beautiful and unique traditional cultural activity of the people of Mễ Trì village. This helps local people become more attached to their traditional profession, and visitors will have the chance to witness a truly unique market atmosphere in Hanoi.
The program is expected to have about 3,000 direct participants and attract 30 booths to the fair.
