Just one day after releasing the official macOS Sonoma update for Mac users, Apple has recently surprised developers by releasing the first beta of macOS Sonoma 14.1 for them to test out new features.
Apple releases macOS Sonoma 14.1 beta 1Developers who have registered can opt to participate in the beta version through the Software Update section of the System Preferences app. In the Beta update, just enable Sonoma Developer Beta. Note that an Apple ID linked to an Apple Developer account is required to download the beta.
Some features of macOS 14 were announced by Apple at WWDC 2023 in June but they were not included in the first official release of the operating system yesterday. Apple said these features will be updated later this year so it's likely that some of them will appear in macOS 14.1 beta 1.
Exciting additional features of macOS 14 that many are eagerly anticipating include interactive Music widgets, improved iCloud synchronization, the option to use Stickers via the Tapback menu in Messages, smart form detection and advanced auto-fill for documents and PDF forms, word completion options by tapping the spacebar, collaborative playlists in the Music app, and favorite song lists.
