Take proactive measures and apply a reasonable method to treat myopia, minimizing the adverse effects of the condition on life.
Myopia is a prevalent condition, especially among students and office workers. Traditionally, myopia has been treated with medication, glasses, or surgical procedures, along with preventive measures such as proper sitting posture, light management, and screen usage.
Another method to treat myopia within the family, requiring only 20 minutes a day, is traditional Chinese medicine's acupressure and massage. This approach stimulates acupoints, enhances eye cavity nutrition, and improves the eye's regulatory abilities. Below are some easy-to-follow techniques for your reference and application.
Performing Myopia Treatment using Acupressure and Massage Method.
Preparation:
Have the person with myopia lie on their back on the bed, while the therapist sits in a chair in front of the patient's head.
Myopia Treatment Step 1:
Massage around the large eye socket: Use your index and middle fingers close together to start massaging from the beginning of the eyebrow arch, moving towards the end of the eyebrow arch, then down to the cheekbone area, moving towards the base of the nose. Repeat this motion for 10 rounds, then reverse for another 10 rounds.
Myopia Treatment Step 2:
Massage around the small eye socket (within the eye socket): Use the middle and index fingers close together and gently start massaging from below the beginning of the eyebrow arch, moving under the eyebrow arch to the eye's tail, continuing in a circle under the lower eyelash line, back towards the base of the nose, and circling up and under the beginning of the eyebrow arch. Repeat this for 10 rounds, then reverse for another 10 rounds.
Myopia Treatment Step 3:
Using two thumbs, gently stroke from the inner edge of the eyebrow arch under the eyebrow arch towards the eye's tail. Then, place two thumbs at the eye corners and stroke under the lower eyelid towards the eye's tail. Perform each stroking motion 10 times.
Myopia Treatment Step 4:
Eyeball rolling: The person with myopia closes their eyes, and the practitioner places the index finger on the eyelid, gently rolling it around about 10 times before reversing the motion.
Myopia Treatment Step 5:
Apply pressure and massage the Toan Truc acupoint: Locate the Toan Truc acupoint in the indented area at the inner edge of the eyebrow arch.

Apply pressure to acupuncture points: Use the index or thumb, place it on the acupoint, apply gentle to firm pressure until the patient feels tension, maintain for approximately 30 seconds. Then, switch to massaging for an additional 30 seconds.
Massage the eye socket area by repeating the stroking, pressing, and brow stroking movements as before. Perform each motion 5 more times.
Preventive measures:
