The owner of the famous heart-shaped island Makepeace, billionaire Richard Branson, aims to provide an opportunity for many couples worldwide to step into his 'love paradise.'
Exciting news for those travelers who have longed to visit the heart-shaped island off the coast of Australia. By the end of this year, Makepeace Island will undergo transformation into a 'couple-friendly' resort, offering a variety of accommodation options at affordable prices, catering to a broader range of guests.

Customers seeking luxury can also rent the entire island when its owner, billionaire Branson, is not in residence.
According to News Australia, Branson has outlined plans to develop various types of accommodations, transforming his main residence into a stylish hotel. Thus, instead of contemplating a hefty sum to rent the entire island, couples can enjoy a resort stay at a reasonable price, similar to any other vacation destination.
Currently, Branson's primary residence on the island boasts 11 rooms, capable of accommodating 22 people, along with numerous amenities such as a 500,000-liter swimming pool, a standard-sized tennis court with a spectator pavilion, a spa, a theater, an indoor bar, and a two-story outdoor restaurant. The island also offers activities such as boating, kayaking around the island, trap fishing, spearfishing, or leisurely yacht cruises. The price for a night's stay on the island is 8,000 AUD (equivalent to approximately 5,200 Euros) per night.
This plan will be carried out by the end of the year if the local council accepts the request to change the island's land use. It is expected that, if all legal procedures are accepted, tourists will only have to pay 850 AUD (553 euros) per night and must stay for a minimum of 3 nights here.
Branson co-owns Makepeace Island with Brett Godfrey, the co-founder of Australia's Virgin Blue. The island has been utilized for personal purposes as a retreat for the families and friends of the two billionaires since 2009. In 2011, interested individuals could rent the entire island at prices typically affordable only for newly wealthy tycoons.
