Here are the detailed technical specifications of the soon-to-be-released Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip.

Just hours before the launch, a leak has shared the complete technical specifications of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC.

According to the latest leak, Qualcomm's next flagship SoC will offer superior performance compared to its predecessor and introduce several new AI features. Firstly, it will have a 1+5+2 core configuration, with one primary core, five high-performance cores, and two power-efficient cores. The primary core will have a speed of up to 3.3 GHz, while the performance and efficiency cores will have speeds of up to 3.2 GHz and 2.3 GHz respectively. It will be paired with the new Adreno 750 GPU, which is 50% more powerful than the current Adreno 740.

Moreover, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 will feature an upgraded Hexagon neural processing unit (NPU) said to be 98% faster and 40% more efficient. This NPU will enable various AI features on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, including image enhancement, object removal from videos, and AI-powered background creation. Interestingly, leaked documents also reveal that Qualcomm's next flagship SoC will be capable of running AI models like Meta's Stable Diffusion and Llama 2.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 will also boast impressive gaming-related features such as ray tracing, support for up to 240 FPS, and 8K resolution. It has been confirmed that they will launch the Xiaomi 14 series on October 26th, so we won't have to wait long to experience the powerful performance of the next-generation flagship Snapdragon chip.
