Football is perhaps the most popular sport among Vietnamese people, and the Mytour team is no exception. With the national team participating in the 32nd SEA Games, we all gathered around the Coocaa TV to cheer for our home team.
Following the U22 Vietnam football team's matches at the SEA Games has been exciting, but it wasn't until the match against Thailand on May 11 that we, at Mytour, had the opportunity to sit down and watch after work to support the team. It's not just us; I believe most Vietnamese football fans were eagerly anticipating this match because Thailand is Vietnam's biggest rival in Southeast Asia, a match that cannot be missed.
In our office, we have various devices available, including tablets, PCs, and different types of projectors. Surely, many of you would wonder which piece of technology we'd use to watch the game. Since we received the Coocaa 4K 55-inch TV for review a few days ago, I decided to use it, combining watching football with reviewing. I'll share below why I chose a TV over a projector for watching.
Because the TV was delivered sealed in its original packaging, we had to hastily unpack and assemble it to catch the game on time. Installing this TV was quite simple, without much fuss or complexity; just attach the stand, plug it in, and connect to WiFi to start using it. Being a Google TV, this Coocaa model comes with all the necessary apps like Youtube, Netflix, and more. Note that the TV size is quite large, so if you're assembling it yourself, be careful when tightening the stand screws, and it's best to have someone else assist to prevent the TV from tipping over during installation.

Just sit back and enjoy. Despite the grand appearance, this is also the studio area where the Mytour team often takes photos and tests tech products for daily reviews.
The game just started, and within the first 2 minutes, our U22 team conceded a goal, which was quite disappointing for both fans and us. However, everything is just beginning, so we still hope our team will equalize and increase the score. After 10-20 minutes, I was impressed by the Coocaa 55Y72 4K 55-inch TV, which has a beautiful design with thin bezels, creating a wider screen feel and allowing us to focus on the game without distractions from the surroundings. The color and contrast of the TV are also excellent, with minimal reflection. Thus, TVs nowadays are not just entertainment devices but also decorative items that enhance the value of our home.
To be honest, for the king of sports, watching on small screens like computers or phones is not enough to convey the drama and excitement of the match. Every second of the game generates different emotions, and finally, as expected, in the 54th minute, the Vietnamese team scored an equalizer, sending everyone into cheers. Personally, I find the 55-inch size quite optimal, suitable for every household. Especially when gathering with friends to enjoy such epic matches.
Now, let's discuss why I chose a TV over a projector to watch today's match. Firstly, it's simple; everyone can see that TVs have higher contrast, displaying deeper blacks compared to projectors. Moreover, 4K TVs nowadays are very affordable, offering high resolutions for sharper content. In contrast, owning a 4K projector would require a significant investment, possibly tens of millions of dong. Additionally, the colors displayed on the TV are more vivid and easy to view regardless of day or night, unlike projectors that require a dark space for clear images.
Furthermore, with a distance of 1.5 meters and three of us, this 55-inch Coocaa model is suitable for the best viewing angle. Conversely, for large cafes or situations with more viewers (over 7-8 people), I recommend choosing projector models for larger display sizes, allowing more people to view comfortably, avoiding crowding or obstructing each other's views. If you still prefer TVs, then I suggest choosing models with sizes from 75-80 inches or larger for a better viewing experience.

TVs can be carried, but it's undoubtedly challenging, imagining someone carrying a large TV while riding a bike; people would think they're just fixing the TV.

Furthermore, sound is also a significant factor to consider. Most projectors usually have built-in speakers with not very high volume, typically under 20W total power. With the Coocaa TV model I'm using today equipped with two 30W speakers, the sound is much louder, suitable for experiences like watching sports, news, or TV shows, almost eliminating the need for external speakers.
However, because the built-in speaker system inside the TV mostly lacks a subwoofer and delivers weak bass, listening to music or watching action movies might not be as satisfying. To address this, you can purchase a soundbar or tower speakers for a more immersive experience. Of course, if you enjoy singing, you can add an amplifier to fine-tune the sound further.
Finally, closing the match with no additional goals scored, so the Thai team temporarily leads the ranking table. It's regrettable that by the time I finish writing this, the tournament also concludes, and our beloved team has to stop at the semifinals and receive a bronze medal. However, this U22 team is still very young, so we can still hope that in upcoming tournaments, they will develop stronger to achieve impressive milestones like their predecessors.
Above is my entire experience in the recent match with the Coocaa 55-inch 4K TV. What about you? Will you choose a TV or a projector when watching sports matches or other sports?
