Step 1: Firstly, open My Computer and note down the name of the drive you want to hide. For instance, I'll choose to hide drive D on my machine.
Step 2: Click on the Windows icon at the bottom left corner of the screen and type cmd. Command Prompt will appear; right-click on the application and select Run as administrator.
Step 3: In the Command Prompt window, type the command CMD as DISKPART then press Enter to proceed to the next step.
Step 4: At the new command prompt, type LIST VOLUME and press Enter. Immediately, you'll see a list of hard drive volumes on your device appear.
Step 5: Type the command SELECT VOLUME 1 and press Enter corresponding to drive D as indicated in the list.
Step 6: Continue by typing REMOVE LETTER D and press Enter to hide this hard drive volume.
Now, check your D drive again, and you'll notice the hard drive partition has been 'vanished.'
Step 7: To restore the hard drive, simply repeat the steps above until step 5 then type ASSIGN LETTER D and press Enter. Immediately, your hard drive will reappear as it was before.
