Specifically, MacBook achieves sales of 6.5 million units, marking a 10% growth compared to the same period last year.
Despite global chip shortages, computer manufacturers have had a successful quarter, with laptop market sales increasing by 8% compared to the same period last year. Increased demand for products such as gaming laptops or promotional offers for premium products like MacBook Air has driven overall market sales upward.
MacBook, especially Macs running on M1 chips, is the key factor behind Apple's success. Models of MacBook with M1 chips feature a slim design coupled with the M1 processor providing superior performance and battery life compared to rival Windows laptops. It's no surprise that demand for new Macs continues to steadily increase each quarter.

This is also the fourth consecutive quarter that the company has led the market.
The second position belongs to HP, which produced 14.3 million units (holding a 21% market share), a 5% decrease compared to the same period last year. Following closely is Dell with 12.2 million units (capturing an 18% market share), achieving an impressive growth rate of 50% compared to the same period last year. Apple and Asus are the last two names to make it into the Top 5 market share list.
