Exploring the Architectural Marvels of Chùa Hộ Quốc
The architecture of Chùa Hộ Quốc is a harmonious blend of the Lý and Trần dynastic styles. Upon entering, visitors are greeted by a spacious courtyard adorned with a 3-meter-tall solid jade Buddha statue, intricately carved with delicate and graceful lines, exuding a sense of tranquility.
Behind the statue lies the depiction of a phoenix dragon meticulously carved on a backdrop of pristine white gypsum, spanning 70 steps leading to the main sanctuary of the temple.
Ascending the 70 stone steps, one arrives at the central sanctuary of Hộ Quốc Temple. Though part of the Trúc Lâm Zen Monastery network, its architecture bears unique characteristics. The height of the temple chambers varies due to the lengths of the teakwood pillars. Every architectural detail is meticulously crafted from primitive teakwood and stone. The temple also houses an altar dedicated to revered ancestors, akin to those found in Northern Vietnam.
People from all corners and Buddhist practitioners come to Hộ Quốc Temple not only to pay respects but also to admire its scenic beauty.
