Wanderlust, the esteemed English travel magazine, has just unveiled Hoi An, Vietnam as the top-loved city in the world.
According to this magazine, many of their readers are the most adventurous travelers in the UK, with nearly 3,000 of them voting for this year's travel awards, including the most beloved city category.
Based on travel experiences, Hoi An has been rated by tourists with a satisfaction level of up to 97.18%.
According to the TTXVN correspondent in the UK, during the award ceremony held in the capital London, Ms. Lyn Hughes, co-founder of Wanderlust magazine and currently the editor-in-chief, awarded the gold certificate to Hoi An city for winning the category of Ambassador's choice for cities to the Vietnamese Embassy in the UK, Ms. Le Thi Thu Hang.
Ms. Lyn stated that this year, a total of 976 cities were nominated, but none were rated as highly as Hoi An. Tourists describe Hoi An as a charming and picturesque city with captivating beaches and landscapes.
Following Hoi An is Cusco, the Peruvian city, receiving a 95.76% satisfaction rate, followed by Kyoto, Japan, with 94.81%.
Other cities around the world voted by Wanderlust readers include Bagan, Myanmar; Copenhagen, Denmark; Udaipur, India; New York and San Francisco, USA; Venice, Italy; and Siem Reap, Cambodia.
Wanderlust magazine was established in 1993 and has grown rapidly, with over 100,000 readers in 112 countries worldwide.
