Honda Vietnam recently surprised the market by introducing the 2023 Vision lineup, consisting of a total of four variants primarily to update new color schemes. Among them, the Vision 2023 Sport boasts the highest price tag. This marks the first time Honda has introduced a Sport version to the Vision series, garnering considerable attention from consumers.

1. How much does the Honda Vision 2023 Sport cost at dealerships?
Honda has released the suggested retail price for the Honda Vision 2023 Sport as follows:
Before 1/1/2023 (with 8% VAT): $35,924,727 dong
From 1/1/2023 onwards (with 10% VAT): $36,590,000 dong
Note: The value-added tax reduction policy of 2% for motorcycles with engine capacity below 125cc applied by the government from February 2022 until the end of 2022. As the Honda Vision uses a 110cc engine, it falls under the 8% VAT tax bracket. However, starting in 2023, the tax rate will revert to 10%.
Latest update for 2023: From 1/7/2023 until 31/12/2023, the Honda Vision 2023 Sport is subject to an 8% VAT tax rate, resulting in a suggested retail price of only $36,415,637 dong. (Decree No. 44/2023/NĐ-CP stipulates the value-added tax reduction policy according to Resolution No. 101/2023/QH15, which includes guidance on reducing VAT from 10% to 8% from 01/07/2023 to 31/12/2023.).
However, the aforementioned price is the listed price. In reality, the selling price of the Vision at authorized dealers (HEAD) is often higher than the manufacturer's listed price by about $3 million dong, and sometimes this difference can go up to over $10 million dong. Therefore, the expected price of the Honda Vision 2023 Sport when reaching consumers will be around $38 million dong or more, and if including registration fees and vehicle registration fees, the on-road price of the Sport version will be approximately $42 million dong.
2. What sets the 2023 Honda Vision Sport apart from other versions?
At a listed price of 36 million dong, the Vision Sport is $2 million more expensive than the Special edition, and higher priced than the Premium and Standard editions by $4 million and $6 million respectively. So what distinguishes the Sport version from the others?
Vision 2023 Sport features Smartkey technology
The 2023 Vision Sport is equipped with premium Smartkey technology, along with the Idling Stop feature - providing a more modern user experience. Whereas the Standard 2023 Vision edition lacks this feature.

Vision 2023 Sport has larger wheels
Additionally, the 2023 Vision Sport uses 16-inch front wheels instead of the 14-inch wheels found on other versions. With larger wheels, the 2023 Vision Sport stands taller than other versions, measuring overall dimensions of 1,925mm x 686mm x 1,126mm (other versions measure 1,871mm x 686mm x 1,101mm).
The Sport edition also has a saddle height of 785mm, higher than other versions (761mm), providing riders with a more upright seating position and better visibility.
Another outcome of having larger wheels is that the weight of the Vision 2023 Sport is also heavier, with a total weight of 98kg, while the other versions weigh 95 and 94 kg respectively.

Vision 2023 Sport features special color options
In addition to the matte black version, the Vision 2023 Sport also offers a gray-black option paired with a prominently red rear shock, decals, and front brake calipers - this is the famous color scheme of the SH350I and SH125/150i Sport, which was previously applied to the SH Mode 2023 Sport.
Apart from the aforementioned differences, the Vision 2023 Sport still utilizes the eSP 110cc engine cooled by air with a maximum power of 6.59kW at 7500 rpm and a maximum torque of 9.26Nm at 5000 rpm. Along with the PGM-FI electronic fuel injection system, the Vision 2023 Sport is also very fuel-efficient with a consumption rate of 1.87 liters of petrol per 100 km according to the manufacturer's specifications.

Additionally, the bike is still equipped with LED headlights along with a combination meter featuring LCD and Analog, a convenient under-seat storage compartment with a closing lid and a USB charging port, and a spacious under-seat storage compartment. Unfortunately, the fuel tank cap is still located under the seat, which can be inconvenient when refueling.

3. Should you buy the Honda Vision 2023 Sport?
At the price of 36 million dong, the Vision 2023 Sport offers a compact, flexible scooter with a rather luxurious appearance, especially with the new Gray-black color scheme. Moreover, this is a renowned durable model, with relatively inexpensive replacement parts, and fuel-efficient, so you can feel confident in your choice.
However, the selling price at HEAD may rise to 38 - 40 million dong, or even higher because this is clearly a hot model. In that case, if you don't want to be overcharged, you may have better options on the market such as the Yamaha Latte (with a fuel-efficient BlueCore 125cc engine, spacious storage compartment, smart key, full-body LED lights...), or the Yamaha Janus (cheaper price, BlueCore 125cc engine, smart key, fashionable design...).
