Honkai: Star Rail 2.0 introduces 7 dazzling 4-star hats for free

7 new dazzling 4-star hats

According to leaks, in version 2.0, there will be 7 new radiant hats available in this shop, all purchasable with the Radiant Sunlight currency earned by conquering Memory Abyss and Fantasy Story stages. Each hat still costs the usual 200 Radiant Sunlight, and their effects at level 1 are as follows:

• Wealth Hat: Increases user's attack damage by an additional 24%. Normal attacks will also recover HP equal to 2% of maximum health + 800.
• Harmony Hat: After the user unleashes a normal attack, a combo, or an ultimate, all allies receive the Childishness effect, boosting the corresponding attack type's damage by an extra 12%. This effect only applies to the nearest attack type and cannot stack.
• Hunting Hat: Increases user's attack by 12%. When the user lands a critical hit, they gain a Fortune layer, up to 4 layers. Each Fortune layer increases critical damage by 8% and is removed at the end of the character's turn.

• Destruction Hat: When the user loses more than 25% health or consumes over 25% health, they immediately recover 15% health and gain a 25% damage boost for 2 turns. This effect can be activated once every 3 turns.
• Protection Hat: Increases user's effect resistance by 12%. For every 100 user defense, damage is increased by 0.8%, up to a maximum of 32%.
• Knowledge Hat: Increases user's attack by 16%. When the user lands an attack hitting at least 2 enemies with corresponding weaknesses, critical damage is increased by 20% for 2 turns.
• Void Hat: When the user debuffs an enemy, they receive 1 Trick layer, up to 3 layers. Each Trick layer increases damage by 6% and lasts for 1 turn. When accuracy effect is above 80%, gain an additional 20% attack.

It's unclear how the stats will be at level 5, but Mytour observes that miHoYo tends to double all percentage figures upon reaching level 5. Note that all this information is still based on leaks and miHoYo may adjust or change them accordingly.

Who are these free radiant hats for?

It's a bit early to decide to save Radiant Sunlight for these new hats, but Mytour wants to offer some insights to help readers contemplate.

Based on what's known, it seems that the Destruction Hat is designed for Blade. While it may not be as powerful as the Secret Oath at the same level, the effects can be much easier to trigger and also easier to earn. Sam could also be an effective user of this radiant hat.

As for the Hunting Hat, the way miHoYo describes its effects is quite similar to Judgement of Shamash. The Fortune stacking can be achieved through ultimates, multi-hit attacks, characters with multiple actions per turn like Seele, or those using follow-up attacks like Dr. Ratio and Topaz.

The Void Hat seems designed as a free-to-play option for Black Swan and Silver Wolf, as they are rare characters requiring a significant accuracy effect. However, it amusingly demands high accuracy but doesn't provide this stat, so its effectiveness may not be high and not worth purchasing. However, one cannot rule out the possibility of new characters being compatible with it.

The Harmony Hat for support characters seems rather... underwhelming due to its limited effects. As interpreted by the author, it works by buffing the type of attack the character with the hat just performed. For example, if a character uses an ultimate, all allies will receive a 12% damage boost when using ultimates. It seems miHoYo fears it might powercreep the 3-star Stigmata?

How to obtain these new radiant hats for free?

Certainly, to acquire the new 4-star radiant hats in the Honkai: Star Rail 2.0 version, players need to visit the Saint's Shop and make purchases with Radiant Sunlight. However, if you worry about not having enough Radiant Sunlight to shop for these radiant hats, don't fret. Surely, miHoYo will implement a 'giveaway' method so players will receive one radiant hat of each type through the game's mission system.

If you recall, this happened in version 1.0, where players could obtain all 7 hats available in the Jade Treasure Shop through missions and purchases from the shops at the Herta Space Station, Belobog, and Xianzhou Luofu. There's no reason why miHoYo wouldn't continue a similar policy with this set of 7 new radiant hats.
