Even with just over 6 months in existence, Honkai: Star Rail players are starting to feel the game is too easy. Even the supposed toughest challenges - the floors of Chaotic Memories in the game's Forgotten Realm - can be defeated in less than one turn. Specifically, according to information from miHoYo, starting from version 1.6, players will test their skills with floors 11 and 12 in Chaotic Memories. The rewards for these floors are no different, still 60 Star Shards. So after the 1.6 patch update, players can receive 720 Star Shards from each Chaotic Memories cycle, instead of just 600 as it is now.
Especially, players can now quickly claim rewards from Chaotic Memories floors they have previously cleared without having to replay, up to floor 7. For example, if in the previous cycle you achieved 3 stars from floors 1-8 but only got 2 stars on floors 9 and 10, the reset will start from floor 7. After achieving 3 stars on this floor, the game will provide all rewards for the first 7 floors.
The new Chaotic Memories will also extend to 6 weeks, not just 2 weeks as before. This doesn't mean players will receive fewer Star Shards, as miHoYo allows multiple Chaotic Memories cycles to run concurrently. Players also have more time to upgrade their characters' power, avoiding missing out on rewards because their new characters are not strong enough.
Finally, miHoYo also announces a new feature that will appear alternately with Chaotic Memories this time. It's called 'Fantasy Storytelling,' specific gameplay and the amount of rewards are yet to be revealed, but Mytour predicts it will also be 600 Primogems or more. In general, these changes are notable improvements in the gameplay of Honkai: Star Rail. Players now have more time to strengthen their characters, reducing the grind from Chaotic Memories, and receiving even more Star Shards.
