After spending time with the Honor Pad X9, I've found it to be a worthwhile product in the under 5 million dong price range. This Honor tablet is well-optimized in terms of software, boasts a sturdy design, and delivers impressive performance compared to many other products in its price range. Here are the experiences I've had while evaluating the Honor Pad X9.

Honor Pad X9: Minimalist, Stylish Design
The Honor Pad X9 can be considered one of the rare products in the under 5 million dong price range that is crafted from solid aluminum. That's right, the entire device is made of aluminum, providing a solid feel and excellent heat dissipation.

The overall dimensions of the Honor Pad X9 are 267.3 x 167.4 x 6.9 mm. For me, this device is not too large but also not small, so I can still hold it comfortably for use. However, I think people should consider getting a back cover with a case or a stand to hold the device in a fixed position for a more comfortable user experience.

Additionally, I like how Honor has crafted the Honor Pad X9, because the corners and edges of the device are softly rounded and delicately CNC-cut. Thanks to this, the product not only provides a neat appearance from the outside but also reduces the risk of dents when placed in a bag or backpack.

The back of the Honor Pad X9 is designed very simply with only a camera cluster at the top left corner and the brand name in the center of the back. The back surface is made with a matte finish to partly prevent sweat and fingerprint marks. Moreover, thanks to the matte finish, the product can be easily cleaned.

A highlight of the design, the Honor Pad X9 has an oval-shaped camera cluster. This is essentially a single 5 MP camera that can meet users' basic photo shooting needs with clear details. Therefore, this product can help you scan paper documents effectively.
Honor Pad X9 has a large screen, providing sharp display quality
Equipped with an 11.5-inch screen, the Honor Pad X9 offers ample display space for various activities such as watching YouTube, Netflix, gaming, writing documents, and reading news. The screen bezels are thick but uniform on all four sides.

Additionally, the Honor Pad X9 operates on a TFT LCD panel, a common technology in the budget and mid-range segment. Compared to OLED screens, LCD may not deliver the same level of detail and color accuracy, but it significantly saves energy.

Notably, the Honor Pad X9 boasts a resolution of 1200 x 2000 pixels, ensuring clear display of all content. Compared to many other products in the same segment, this tablet offers the best display quality. Moreover, the Honor Pad X9 features a 120 Hz refresh rate, significantly enhancing user touch interactions.

Furthermore, a major highlight of the Honor Pad X9 for me is its speakers. With 4 speaker units, this device produces loud and clear sound. Consequently, I usually keep the volume at 50% when using it alone in a room to avoid disturbing others.
Honor Pad X9 provides a smooth experience with various supporting gestures
What sets the Honor Pad X9 apart from many other tablets on the market today is its gesture features. Specifically, all I need to do is select the gesture shortcut and there are options such as:
- Screenshot/Favorite screen
- Screen recording
- Wake up the screen

For each task, I assign a different hand gesture to select according to preference. For example, for the screenshot function, I choose to double-tap the hand joint or swipe down with 3 fingers. This allows me to quickly take a screenshot without having to press and hold the power button and volume down button.

Alternatively, I can also schedule the power on/off for the Honor Pad X9. By doing this, the device will automatically power off at the specified time, helping to save a lot of energy. Additionally, I can also apply this for children, setting the device to automatically power off at a certain time so they can't use it anymore.

In addition, the convenient split-screen feature of the Honor Pad X9 allows you to simply drag and drop the app you're using. This feature works like on Windows, where you just grab the blurred section at the top of the app and drag it to one side.

All my gestures on the Honor Pad X9 are smooth and much more convenient than many other tablets I've used before. Additionally, I can attach a keyboard and mouse to use temporarily as a mini laptop for work.

In terms of performance, the Honor Pad X9 is equipped with the Snapdragon 685 chip, which is quite familiar on many mid-range devices today. This is a processor built on a 6nm process with 8 processing cores, reaching a maximum speed of 2.8 GHz along with the Adreno 610 GPU. Therefore, this chip can meet all user needs without experiencing any annoying lags.

Furthermore, the Honor Pad X9 is equipped with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. With this RAM and internal storage capacity, users have ample storage space and enjoy seamless multitasking capabilities. This is evident through the smooth multitasking of apps and gestures, as described in the experience section.

To provide users with the most comprehensive overview of the Honor Pad X6 user experience, I really wanted to conduct a performance benchmark test. However, for some reason, I couldn't download three familiar benchmarking apps: Geekbench 6, PCMark, and 3DMark, despite several attempts. It may be a compatibility issue, and I hope that in the coming months, when the software is better optimized, I will have performance score images for users to easily grasp.

Instead, I decided to experience gaming on the Honor Pad X9 to give everyone an overall view of the device's performance. Based on the device's specifications, I selected four popular games: Arena of Valor, PUBG Mobile, League of Legends: Wild Rift, and Genshin Impact. Additionally, I used Perfdog software to record the FPS of each game, and I'll leave the related data here for your reference!

- Arena of Valor
Starting with the first game, Arena of Valor, I pushed all the graphics settings to nearly the highest level that the Honor Pad X9 allows.
I'm very pleased with the experience of playing Arena of Valor on the Honor Pad X9. The average frame rate I measured was 59.4 FPS, and this number remained stable throughout the match. As a result, all controls and visuals in the game were processed smoothly and consistently for an extended period.
- League of Legends: Speed War
Similarly, in the game League of Legends: Speed War, I maxed out all the graphics settings that the Honor Pad X9 can achieve.

During gameplay, I still feel very satisfied with what the Honor Pad X9 delivers. With an average FPS of 119, it's enough to show us the good stability when playing.
- PUBG Mobile
Next up is PUBG Mobile, where the Honor Pad X9 can still handle this game with graphics settings set to Smooth and frame rate set to Ultra High.

I notice that the Honor Pad X9 can still render images in games relatively clearly, with decent detail. Additionally, the device maintains an average frame rate of 45 FPS.
- Genshin Impact
For this game, I set the graphics settings to the highest level to test the performance of the Honor Pad X9.

The gaming experience with Genshin Impact on the Honor Pad X9 can be described as moderate, as the FPS fluctuates continuously. This is to be expected as this game also challenges other high-end products. Therefore, I suggest that if you want to play this game on the Honor Pad X9, you should only set the graphics to a low level for the best experience.
Overall, the Honor Pad X9 handles gaming smoothly, and notably, the device's temperature only slightly increases during gameplay. This indicates that the product has very good heat dissipation capabilities, leading to longer battery life.
Honor Pad X9 with strong battery delivers long-lasting experience
The strength of the Honor Pad X9 for me lies in its battery life. Because this tablet is only equipped with moderate hardware, not overly powerful, combined with well-optimized internal software, the battery consumption during normal use is not excessive. To provide you with a more visual insight into the battery life of the Honor Pad X9, I conducted a battery test following the standard of Mytour with specific conditions as follows:
- Experience 4 rotating tasks including: Playing Liên Quân (graphics settings as shown below), watching YouTube, browsing Facebook, and using Chrome browser.

- Each task lasts for 1 hour.
- SIM card inserted into the device.
- Screen brightness at 100%, with 120 Hz refresh rate enabled.
- External speakers turned on at 50% volume.
- WiFi and social media notifications enabled.
- Battery saver, adaptive brightness, GPS, and Bluetooth turned off.
- Testing from 100% to 0% battery.
The specific results are as follows:

Thus, the 7,250 mAh battery of the Honor Pad X9 can last for 6 hours and 15 minutes of continuous multitasking. This is quite impressive compared to many competitors in the same segment. Moreover, when removing the mentioned conditions, the battery life extends even further. Specifically, I played YouTube continuously at 100% battery from 9 PM until 12 PM the next day before the battery ran out. This demonstrates the device's excellent power-saving capability.

However, this device only supports 22.5 W fast charging, which is a minor downside. Charging from 0% to 100% will take a considerable amount of time at this charging rate. I also measured the charging time of the device, but unfortunately, I did not have the original charger, so I used a Ugreen 65 W charger instead.

The result shows that it took approximately 3 hours and 13 minutes to fully charge the 7,250 mAh battery of the Honor Pad X9 (from 0% to 100%). Therefore, I usually charge the device overnight to avoid having a low battery in situations where I need to use the device urgently.
Summary
Overall, the Honor Pad X9 is a highly impressive product from Honor after its return to the Vietnamese market after several years. It features a sturdy design, meticulous finishing, outstanding display for its price range, powerful configuration, strong battery life, and notably, efficiently optimized software.

Currently, the Honor Pad X9 is priced at 4.99 million Vietnamese dong at Mytour (please note that prices may vary depending on promotions and timing). For me, this is an incredibly affordable price for what this tablet offers. Therefore, if you need a good tablet for work or study at a reasonable price, this is a very good choice.
