Horror game Sons of the Forest announces official release date

Sons of the Forest will officially end Early Access and launch the full version on February 22, 2024. Additionally, Endnight Games has announced the addition of Shawn Ashmore (known for his role as Iceman in X-Men and also the protagonist of Quantum Break) as the voice actor for Timmy.Information shared by the developer Endnight Games on social media along with a message of gratitude to all players: “Hello everyone, Sons of the Forest v1.0 will be released on 22/02/2024. Shawn Ashmore will voice Timmy as we expand his story in the game. We thank all players who participated in the Early Access process and are extremely excited for what we have in store for version 1.0 coming soon”.

For those unaware, Timmy Leblanc is the son of Eric Leblanc, the protagonist of The Forest. In the previous game, he and his father had an accident on the island where the game takes place and he was kidnapped soon after. One of the main objectives of The Forest is to rescue Timmy. Therefore, Timmy's return in the next installment may play a very important role in the future storyline.The Early Access phase of Sons of the Forest commenced on 23/02/2023, tasking players with finding a missing billionaire on a remote island. This is also the habitat of cannibals and other terrifying dangers.
