This afternoon, Garena surprised everyone by announcing the discontinuation of the once-thriving Blade & Soul in the Vietnamese market. According to the announcement posted on the game's Fanpage, the roadmap will be as follows:
On behalf of the Blade & Soul operations team, we express our sincere and profound gratitude to all of you for supporting Blade & Soul Vietnam throughout this period. After over 6 years since its launch, Blade & Soul Vietnam and we have had the opportunity to explore countless exciting and emotional experiences with martial artists.
It is truly challenging for us to bring this announcement to the martial artists. The journey with Blade & Soul Vietnam to conquer new eras will officially come to an end here.
Blade & Soul announces the game cessation schedule as follows:
- May 17, 2023: Cease recharging tasks for Blade & Soul on the card recharge page
- May 18 - June 17, 2023 (estimated): Farewell Event for Blade & Soul
- May 24, 2023: Announcement of the support policy for transitioning to other Garena games
- August 15, 2023: Officially shut down Blade & Soul Vietnam servers
