PDF is a widely used document format nowadays due to its high security features, so it's often used to store important data. If you need to convert a Word file to a PDF file, you can easily do so directly within the Microsoft Word editor from Office 2007 onwards (Office 2010, Office 2013).
However, this feature is not readily available. You need to install the Microsoft Save as PDF Add-on. Proceed to download and install it on your Microsoft Office suite like any other software.
Once you have installed Microsoft Save as PDF on your computer, the PDF to XPS function will appear on the toolbar. Open a Word document you want to convert on your computer, select the Office button at the top left of the toolbar, choose Save As --> PDF to XPS
