When I reinstall the Windows 7 operating system from the hard drive, I notice the Windows.old folder appearing on drive C. They occupy a lot of space and I want to delete them but cannot. Could you please guide me on how to delete this folder? Thank you!

When reinstalling the operating system for your computer, if you don't format the drive (drive C, the drive where you install Windows), then after installation, a Windows.old folder will appear. This folder contains data from the old operating system. You can delete them if you have backed up your data before installing.
