In the Ranked mode, players can surpass other similarly skilled gamers in Teamfight Tactics matches, where you'll earn or lose LP points after each match. The system will automatically calculate points based on the rank achieved in the game.
What is the Rank in Teamfight Tactics?
Similar to regular League of Legends games, the ranking system in Teamfight Tactics is divided into 9 tiers with 4 divisions. These tiers include Iron, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Master, Grandmaster, and Challenger.
How to increase your Teamfight Tactics rank?
Players advance by earning LP points in Teamfight Tactics. Starting at tier 4, every 100 LP points earned allow players to ascend to the next rank. However, losing LP points can lead to automatic rank deductions, with severe losses resulting in demotion to the previous tier. There are no items to aid in climbing ranks in Teamfight Tactics.
How to earn LP points in Teamfight Tactics?
The top four players with the highest rankings in each match will receive LP points, while the bottom four losers will face penalties (LP deduction for ranks 5-8). This means that winning isn't everything in the ranking mode. However, the higher you finish, the more LP points and higher rank levels you'll earn. Therefore, winning in this mode is crucial and requires careful consideration.
Can you play with friends?
Players can invite up to 5 friends if all are Gold rank or lower; if anyone in the group is Platinum or higher, you can invite a maximum of 3 people. There's a rank tier limit that Riot has established to restrict rank tiers when playing together.
Essentially, this means if you're Iron, Bronze, or Silver, you can play with players in those tiers and everyone else aiming for Gold. If you're Gold rank, you can play with players up to Platinum. If you're Platinum, you can play with players up to Diamond or Platinum. If you're Diamond, you can play with anyone from Platinum onwards. And if you're in Master, Grandmaster, or Challenger, you can play with anyone in those tiers or in Diamond.
