In traditional timekeeping, a leap year refers to a year with an increased number of days or months, depending on whether it follows the Gregorian or Lunar calendar.

In the solar calendar perspective, a leap year boasts an extra day compared to a non-leap year, introducing February 29th.
Determining a leap year in the solar calendar is simple: divide the solar year by 4; if the remainder is 0, it qualifies as a leap year.
For instance, to verify if 2020 qualifies as a leap year, divide 2020 by 4: 2020 ÷ 4 = 505, remainder 0.
=> Consequently, 2020 is identified as a leap year.
In the lunar calendar system, a leap year contains an additional month, known as the 13th month.
To determine a leap year in the lunar calendar: Divide the Gregorian year by 19, if the remainder is any of the following: 0, 3, 6, 9, 11, 14, or 17, then that lunar year has a leap month.
For example: The year 2020 is a leap year in the lunar calendar, because 2020 divided by 19 leaves a remainder of 6.

For non-leap years, there are 365 days, while for leap years, there are 366 days. Every 4 years, there is a leap year (a leap year has February with 29 days).

Since 1 week consists of 7 days, hence, a non-leap year has 365/7 = 52 weeks and 1 day.
III. How many quarters are there in a leap year and a non-leap year?
1 year has 12 months, and 1 quarter consists of 3 months so 1 year will have 12 months/3 = 4 quarters (1 year = 4 quarters)
Quarter 1 of the year starts from month 1 to the end of month 2, Quarter 2 of the year starts from month 4 to the end of month 6, Quarter 3 of the year starts from month 7 to the end of month 9, Quarter 4 of the year starts from month 10 to the end of month 12. Therefore, in 1 year, there will be 4 quarters, and the end of Quarter 4 marks the end of a year and the beginning of a new year.
