Do you frequently share files via Zalo? In this guide, let's explore the quickest and simplest method to access files on Zalo via your mobile device.
1. Opening Files on Zalo for iOS
By default, Zalo for iOS allows seamless viewing of text, image, and video files. Files smaller than 1 MB are automatically viewable, while larger files require manual download. Here's how:
- To open a text message containing a file on Zalo, simply tap to view the file. As shown below, we have successfully opened an Excel file with the xls format.
Similarly, for docx files, tap Open to view the document file.
- For PDF files larger than 1 MB, tap the Download icon and wait for the file to be downloaded to your device before opening.
2. Opening Files on Zalo for Android
To open common document files on Android, you'll need to install additional office apps such as Microsoft Office, WPS Office, etc.
Step 1: Download the Microsoft Office app from https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.office.officehubrow&hl=vi&gl=US
After downloading, open the app and tap Get Started. Then, sign in to your Microsoft account to use the app.
Step 2: Open Zalo and the message containing the file you want to open. Next, tap the Download icon to save the file to your device and open it with the Microsoft Office app. As shown below, an Excel file with the .xls format has been successfully opened via the Microsoft Office app.
For PDF files, you can also follow the same steps to open and view them using the Microsoft Office app.
For document files in .doc, .docx formats, you can also follow similar steps as above to view them.
3. Deleting files opened on Zalo mobile
Step 1: Open Zalo and go to Profile (1) => Settings (2) => Data and Storage Management (3).
Step 2: Select Chat Data Management (1) => choose the conversation containing the file you want to delete (2).
Step 3: Tap Delete (1) => Delete (2) to remove the files from your device. The process on Zalo Android is similar.
