How to Enable Clean Boot Mode

Step 1: Open System Configuration by pressing the Windows + R key combination. In the dialog box that appears, type msconfig to open System Configuration.
Step 2: By default, you will be on the General tab. You will see the Selective Startup section.
- Uncheck the box for Load Startup Items. Ensure that the Load System services and Use original boot configuration options are checked.
Step 3: Disable third-party services, click on the Services tab. In this tab, check the box for Hide all Microsoft services at the bottom of the window. Then click Disable all.
Once completed, click Apply and OK to make the changes effective. Restart your computer. Your computer will boot in clean boot mode. If errors persist, uncheck the Load system services section. Click Apply & OK, then restart your computer.
To return to normal mode, go back to System Configuration, in the General tab, select Normal Startup and restart your computer.
