Are you looking to install WinRAR in low configuration priority to multitask or decompress multiple files? This article will instruct you on how to recover data from corrupted compressed files using WinRAR software.
Setting Up Low System Configuration Priority
Step 1: After installing WinRAR, open the program using one of the following methods.
- Method 1: Click on the software icon on the Desktop (if you agreed to create a shortcut during installation).
- Method 2: Click on Start (bottom left corner of the screen). In the Search Programs and files section, type Winrar and the search results will appear. Click on the 'Winrar' search result to open the program.
- For Win XP: Use the software startup command via the Run function with the command 'C://programfiles/Winrar/Winrar.exe'
Step 2: After opening the software interface, navigate to the Options menu and select Setting. Alternatively, you can use the shortcut Ctrl + S.
In the Setting section, ensure that you are in the General tab.
Next, check the box next to the Low Priority option. Then, click OK to complete the transition.
Once switched to Low Priority mode, WinRAR will perform better. With this mode, you can both work and extract files easily without worrying about freezing or extraction errors. Additionally, Low Priority mode ensures that WinRAR consumes less system resources.
