This tutorial will guide you on how to connect your Blogger blog with your Google AdSense account in order to display pay-per-click ads on your blog.
Steps
Visit Blogger. You can use the provided link or type 'www.blogger.com' into your browser's address bar.
- Click on SIGN IN located in the upper-right corner of the window. Enter your Google ID and password, then click on Sign in.
Click on the dropdown arrow. It can be found next to the title of your blog, displayed below the word 'Blogger' in the upper-left corner of the window.
Choose a blog. From the drop-down menu, select the title of the blog where you want to incorporate Adsense ads. This will typically be listed under either the 'Recent blogs' or 'All blogs' section.
- If you haven't already signed up for an Adsense account, you'll need to do so and get approval before using Adsense ads on your blog.
Click on Earnings. It's located on the left side of the window next to a '$.'
- Your blog must meet the eligibility criteria for Adsense before you can connect your Adsense account to your blog.
Click on Sign Up for Adsense. This is a blue button located in the right pane of the window.
Click on Sign In. Follow the on-screen instructions to sign in using the Google account associated with your Adsense account in order to link Adsense to your blog.
- If you're not automatically redirected to your Blogger dashboard, return to Blogger.com.
Click on Earnings. It's located on the left side of the window next to a '$.'
Click on the radio button next to 'Yes.' This option is located near the top of the window under 'Show ads on blog.' Make sure the button appears blue.
Choose an ad setup for your blog. Select one of the ad setup options by clicking the radio button next to it:
- 'Display ads below my post and in the side bar'
- 'Display ads below my posts only'
- 'Display ads in the side bar only'
- Click on Customize further in Advanced Ad Setup at the bottom of the 'Ad Setup for blog' section to create custom ad placement on your blog.
Click on Save settings. This button is orange and located in the upper-right corner of the window. Clicking it saves your ad settings and activates AdSense ads on your blog.
